I'd love to visit Holmfirth one day as I am a big fan of the show! Besides Sid's Cafe and Laura Batty's house, there are other locations I'd also like to see, like Wesley's shed and Auntie Wainwright's shop, but most especially the hills and mountains around the town, they all looked so beautiful in the show
Yes I visited for the first time in 1986 and have been 3 times now although this was the first time we visited the graves. It is a very beautiful area. Thanks for watching and your comment.
Hello from America! I love this show very much. I’m editing this because in my first comment I had a corrective comment about Howard’s bike. It’s been on my mind for weeks that it was rude of me to do so and in bad form. Please except my sincere apology. It was a pleasure to see these sights as my trip there got canceled due to Covid-19’s. Thank you for taking the time to create this video with your lovely family. Best wishes.
It is a beautiful part of Yorkshire. Great location for Last of the Summer Wine. It was nice to be able to pay respects to both Peter Sallis and Bill Owen. Hope you get to travel to Holmfirth soon.
Wow that took me back - fond memories - great video, thank you for sharing. Shame about the bus. Have a fantastic Christmas and happy adventures in 2022 - David 👍
Beautiful hilly Holmfirth. I’ve yet to visit but definitely on the list … as a person of a certain age 😆. Best wishes to you all for a lovely Christmas & New Year. Sue 😊
Haha. I think I am of a certain age +10 😊 We like seeing the places we have watched on our favourite tv films and programmes. Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Sue.
@@mikejohnson4010 thanks. We wanted to visit the graves as the actors gave us so many great memories. Hope you enjoy your visit and thanks for the comment.
I first visited Holmfirth in 1988 and I guess that was in the peak of LOTSW. Beautiful part of the country. I do love being at filming locations. All the best. Fran, Paul and the Minions.
