The part where cristine mentioned how she didn’t intend this collection to be a “pride” product has such a necessary and important message. I’m honestly not a huge nail polish fan, but this sort of mature and honest attitude absolutely keeps me around supporting cristine and holo taco. What cristine has done with linking her product with lgbtq+ pride and blm is truly a much better approach than what most influencers and companies out there have been doing. I respect you with all my heart, cristine. As always. You are brilliant.
Jane also despite her saying this disclaimer she happens to be an influencer who would be allowed to release a pride collection. She’s shown time and time again her support towards the lgbt community and as an openly gay woman I can’t help but Stan
Angie's Seams & Pockets yes your right me being bisexual and thinking that my favorite people in the world sapourt me since I get bullied at school for it I have about 1 friend but I have a crush on and I get bullied even more now and I hate so thank you for being so kind
not wanting to use a “pride” collection for profit but also wanting to show support by donating is just... so nice and sincere. other brands should be paying attention. i appreciate u!
I just wanna say that I really appreciate you being transparent about this not being a pride collection. It means a lot to me that you didn’t just slap a pride sticker on it to increase sales. Thank you for being honest. And for your generous donations.
She genuinely loves the rainbow for the colors and not what they stand for. Like me 😁 not that we don't respect and appreciate what they stand for. But a rainbow doesn't always mean pride. And shouldn't have to. 👍👍
In fact this was a struggle I had when living with my dad. I loved rainbows and kept them everywhere. He kept thinking it meant I was gay. No dad I just LOVE color! Wouldn't let me put anything rainbow on my car.
This made me tear up tbh, like at how genuine and honest and transparent she is about not marketing this rainbow collection for LGBTQ+ but at the same time informing us that regardless she does support the community and even the BLM movement. This is so touching and very inspiring. 😭🎉🌈 That is why I love her so much. 💕
You will forget about biting because it is so beautiful. Please chew on fresh almonds instead of your nails. You just need healthy oils for your brain. Omega 3 for a start. Please check brain food. When you start cannibalism by eating your nails you need nutrition!
Okay well the last comment was.. interesting... I do agree with the first line though. I've personally noticed a perfect inverse correlation in my life between nail biting and taking the time to paint my nails. The only reason I stopped painting them was because my career requires it. But yeah, it's worth trying if that's a habit you'd like to change.
I used to bite my nails a lot and I stopped nail by nail until they were all grown out, but sometimes I would still get the urge to bite until I started using holo taco 😭 cause it's so beautiful and I love staring at it on my nails. I don't even think of biting since it looks so good on my long nails.
My husband surprised me with this collection yesterday and I nearly died from excitement. Thanks for being amazingly transparent and considerate with your business practices. I'm so happy he chose to support such an awesome company. We need more of you in the world!
I know it's been months but... Oh man, hearing about significant others who support make-up and jewelery addictions/fascinations/loves/passions (or just any interest they know their partner has) is so wonderful. My ex constantly belittled me for liking jewelery and basically accused me of trying to get him to buy me stuff when i just love looking at the artisanship and the colours. So hearing about your hubby surprising you with something you love really touches me. Have a wonderful day, stay safe and sane (cause this lockdown is getting to me/all of us) and just know that this small story of you and your husband put a huge smile on my face and really warmed my heart.
There are So Many RU-vidrs that could learn a thing or 2 from Cristene! I went and bought everything before watching the video so it didn't sell out. With other RU-vidrs products, I usually wait to see reviews before I spend my money. Except Tati... I trust her and any product she puts out.
cristine: "imma be honest this wasnt meant to be gay i just like rainbows, but gay rights bb" 🥺😂 an icon. also calling out brands that pinkwash all their shit, we LOVE the tea😌
Katelyn Moe According to Wikipedia, it's basically when companies forcefully advertise themselves as LGBTQ-friendly or supportive in order to appeal to that audience.
Rainbow capitalism is done by a lot of companies and she is doing the same period. Just because she is being cute about it doesn't mean it's not rainbow Capitalism
@@fatmagamal3701 What kind of thinking is that? Rainbows are natural phenomena and no one owns the right to the symbol?! People like color. PERIOD. Please tell me you aren't serious...
huge, huge respect to Cristine for the ending. Lots of people and companies would have just used the convenient timing of this and said nothing but Cristine really is out here donating thousands of dollars to charity and being honest with her customers. You really love to see it
That's why I always try and support Christine whenever she has a new collection not just because the products are awesome, but because she's such a beautiful person at heart and I trust her.
I would love to see a collection with “every day” colors! I love all of the ones released so far, but I’m more of a lighter, neutral color person when it comes to my nails, or various shades of reds and pinks. Plus my work is kinda iffy about “out there” nail colors 🙁 It would be awesome to have a holo collection in the pink spectrum... maybe named something along the lines of “cotton candy”? 😄
PLEASE RE-RELEASE THIS AMAZING BOX 😭 I’m so bummed my collection isn’t complete. I’m also excited to start using this nail polish and thank you for your amazing support of such wonderful organizations 💙 Hope you’re doing well!
Okay, i am legit so proud of Cristine. I have been watching her since years back, like before polish mountain, and to see her making her own nail polish products in seriously just so nice to see. like im so happy for her for making GREAT polishes that i've seen other content creators praise. It's just so nice to see how far she's come. I wish her all the best👏👏👏
I bought ur rainbow bundle. OMG!! When I just saw the pakaging I was speechless it was so neat and clean. After that i did a rainbow ombre if I did one coat it was opaque but when I bought other polishes I had to do 2, 3 or so coats. OMG I loved it so much thanks so much.
This gives me some serious hologasm! I'm gonna be seeing these beautiful colors even in my dreams today. Though won't be able to get these beauties in India and I'm broke ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
This is literally the perfect thing. Thr only nail company i will buy from now. Im overjoyed i found this collection. This is exactly everything's I was looking for. Plus the nail basics kit, the nail care kit, and the sponge pack. Everhthing i could ever need. Will be using for my wedding. I hope one day she does a creme rainbow collection in case someone wants the same colors but a different glitter skin
I really love listening to the rationale of your decisions for the collections. It's awesome to get a better understanding of how the polishes came to be and it showcases your passion for creating the best product you can. Just wanted to say how much I appreciate the effort you put into your product, as well as the videos about them. :)
When she was talking about the quality of the nail polishes I expected her to be like it's 25 bucks per bottle, but when she said 14 I was like "bruh.. that's still a great price!"
@@lucypalmer2943 yeah I'm so proud of Cristine and the polish is so beautiful, but I'm really disappointed every time there's a new release that it's so expensive to buy and ship holo taco to Australia :(( I know it's not the company's fault ofc, it just makes me real sad that I can't have that gorgeous holo
This collection is my favorite of them all. I’m not good at painting my nails, but the formula is so smooth, and it makes it so easy! All the shades are so beautiful! 🥰❤️
Cristine! I had to come on here and let you know you outdid yourself with these. They are beautiful on my nails and legit don’t chip. The last time I had Holo this pretty, it chipped within a day because my nails are crap. But these mixed with the base and topcoats are strong af. I’m in love. I just had to let you know that you’ve brought happiness into my 2020!
i remember those two pearly nail polishes from lcn when i was younger. 3:20 was my to go nails. i mean the polishes weren’t holo, but the sentiment is still here 😍
Love how you pointed how this wasn’t a planned Pride themed release and that you aren’t going to pretend it is to profit off that. You are amazing and deserve all the success you’ve had and will have in the future! 💞
If it had been a planned pride release that would have been amazing, idk why people think it's sleazy when companies release rainbow or pride themed things during pride month.
@@HarryStikers because it's wrong to profit off of other people's struggles to line your own pockets. Only LGBT people should be profiting from pride. If a non-lgbt run company wants to make a pride collection to "support the movement", they should be donating proceeds. If they're not, it's just a cash grab. It doesn't support US to line THEIR pockets and give them a pat on the back for being "inclusive" and "supportive" one month out of the year just to rake in the money. (not directed at Cristine, just explaining why companies making pride collections can be a problem)
@@Niko-uz2fz Long story short, profitting off of other people's blood (literally), sweat and tears. I completely agree that non-lgbtq+ companies shouldn't be making pride collections or merchandise without donating to the cause that they supposedly support, let alone any cause.
@@GiaGwendoline I did the same! As soon as the notification popped on my phone for the vid I was right onto HoloTaco site. Did not want to miss this collection!
Can we just talk about how wholesome that ending was... its so refreshing to see a youtuber/company who doesn't bandwagon onto causes and groups of people to help sell their shit. I have so much respect for this queen 👑
As someone who part of the lgbt community i am incredibly pleased with how simply handles lgbt and race issues. This is how you be a true ally, acknowledge pride, donate/participate actively and actively work to support instead of exploiting. Good job simply
