Mohammed Ibrahim There's an old clip of the show Friends where one of the characters describes the specs of his new computer. By todays standards, it's crap, so it's funny to watch. I mean it like that.
everything that looks impossible starts to become possibile, and soon an everyday thing. It started with being able to talk to someone far away, being able to use touch to navigate, and now this. This is seriously the future...
So now if someone applies this technology throughout an entire home, you have the best security footage ever. People can see memories of the past in the present. It's genius. Like seriously, imagine crime scenes recreated in real time for investigators. This is huge.
yes and, because we need to halt all production of phones and put it into a beta video calling software that requires multiple camera which cost over 1000 dollars each
When his daughter showed up, it looked like some sci-fi movie where the main guy has lost his family and is now spending time grieving and talking with AI molded as his daughter. So sad.
OMG that pissed me off so much!! They don't even hover like whyyyy are you wasting that name now, what are we gonna call actual hoverboards when they come out now that these crappy handle-less segways have taken the name for no reason??
This is prob the most amazing thing I've ever seen in my whole life 👌👏 imagine how advanced we will be in the next few years can't wait for the advanced future!
That's what blows my mind. This technology has been created and shown to the world through this video. The response this is getting is obviously very positive. It fulfills a basic human need. Now that humanity knows this is possible, of course it will get better. Boy, what a time to be alive.
+DougMcHead I literally showed you what I was talking about... Also you were the one in the wrong considering this isn't teleportation. So if "stupid isn't cool anymore," then you must not be very popular.
This looks really really awesome. Not sure if anyone noticed or if I'm seeing it right but at 2:54 you see him sorta trying to help his daughter up like she was really physically there. I think that shows how immersive the HoloLens is going to be. As again I might of read that gesture wrong but if I did it shows how immersive this amazing tech is going to be.
When he said "be careful" I love how his hand extended like he was to catch his daughter in case she fell over. Even though that wouldn't do shit..his hand will just pass through her...it's that realistic.. amazing!
To summarise this comment section: 1.#Holoporn 2. Yay, my StarWars dreams! 3.When trump sworn in...those devs are getting kicked out... 4. Apple and the phones are now old and boring...micro is back!
I don't quite think many of the people in the comment section fully realize what you have in fact made here, this is indeed the future, and it will continue to get small advancements, but what you have done here...this changes everything...
Very interesting. Sort of like real-time photogrammetry, I guess? (or whatever they're calling that process now) I don't see this becoming available to the average Joe anytime soon, though, given the camera setup needed, to say nothing of the probable cost.
i can already feel the sadness .. imagine if the person died then people reject the idea of them being dead .. like "lily didnt die .... lily is right here .... hi lilly !!" "she's dead man" "SHUT THE FUCK UP TOM !! shes right here ... right lilly? " "yeah.. thats my girl "
that's what i think is gonna happen with vr in some cases, like there are gonna be virtual characters that people will fall in love and care for. You should check out black mirror on Netflix if you haven't already.
+ominous kitty Think of how many people, if this were easily/readily available, would just be stuck in their homes, replaying the same footage, over and over, essentially stuck in time.... sad if you think about it.
The future looks very promising. Hopefully if we start investing in projects like this instead of feeding greedy corps, things will move forward faster.
+CenturionAlexander myeah... I gotta admit that you're quite right even though I was actually referring to all the independent creatives who take the initiative of suggesting innovative concepts through plateforms such as kickstarter. We need to support them directly. And world leaders must stop wasting money on wars in Syria for example to focus on real things. Not necesarly augmented reality but anything that can help improving human condition if you see what I mean.
+Enter Adman It may actually be very helpful to prevent, or at least reduce the severity of mental illnesses like PTSD. Soldiers will be able to keep in touch with their family, and talk to them in an even more immersive manner, and they'll be able to keep up with the rest of the world, at least to a degree. It could really help them.
This is REALLY awesome technology. Hopefully I can create virtual friends who hang out with me that can't eat food, use my bathroom, backstab me, cheat on me, etc. I get all of the attributes of human interaction without all of the negatives. I can stay in my grandmother's basement for the rest of my life. She makes incredible cookies!
i dont know why people give a negative when see something like this? i think some people dont understand about going with crazy or small ideas you can make some good and bigger creations and is so sad keep going guys with the innovation!
How does the software decide which elements in the room holoport? As in you have the subject you want to holoport, how you avoid having all the noise like furniture around the subject?
There is never enough new funny goat content put on RU-vid, but they certainly can promise us this changing 3d technology. This better lead to more funny goats.
MS I believe in you and not cheating on you for 30 years, I'm 33 =) I have not broken neither the Linux nor the IPhone, I am still using win 7 and my MS Lumia phone. Though bad know English, but still - thank you for what you are doing, I can really see that you make it for people, not just earn for us. Thank you MS
I just want to say what you have done is ground breaking and will change our way of life entirely I wish you all the best of luck also don't over think things and forget this has big money in gaming
I'm one of them, you still have to wear bulky headsets and the technology as a whole is nothing like it is in sci-fi movies. We've still got long ways to go.
+Googol Plus Sukcz Nonononono, military funding is usually one of the things that gives us these toys. Their funding is usually absurdly large and because it is not funding from investors they usually give your more time and space to actually work on your stuff. So I say, market this towards military purposes to quadruple the funding!
+Googol Plus Sukcz without the first and second world wars, people would still be using horse driven buggies and maybe have biplanes take 3 or 4 people on a fun ride around the countryside at best. Forget all the developments like jet engines etc
