Today we celebrate Mary's assumption, body and soul, into heaven. This feast can help us in our journey of faith, as we face the forces of evil in the world and our final enemy, death itself. In today's reading, God shares with us the new ark of the covenant, our blessed mother, who, with her Son, battles the dragon and the power of darkness.
May our Blessed Mother bring us joy, hope, comfort and healing, as she did to her cousin Elizabeth, and may she assist us all in our needs, especially at the hour of our death.
