Hello everyone! GoldenNova here! Is it too late for a Christmas episode? Today, I present (pun intended) to you a video all about Holy Night, and explaining what the cards do and how they work together. Now if you'll excuse me, I gotta find myself a holiday dragon.

Been playing this deck in Master Duel. The protection against DARK is weirdly relevant at my skill level. I've had multiple people go into Accesscode, only to find out that their OTK star can't pierce the heavens. Always remember to read cards! What I've found cool as well is that Starry Knight Ceremony works with any LIGHT Fairies, which allows you to try cool tech like heralds or artifacts, albeit with far less advantage than other decks. The latter even allows you to be a fire-sale DPE, popping Scythe if needed by Starry Dragon's effect.

I always liked Seiyaryu and a Christmas nativity theme is surprisingly original for this game. Hoping this deck doesn't end up being too expensive

It all depends on the deck build, if it loses a lot, there might be a flaw in the build. That is how I go with things.

@@kagemushashien8394 for a fledgling archtype in my experiance it does not do half bad...its really good as stopping some of the more meta stratagies if you can pop it off early enough.

@@kagemushashien8394 yeah even if you only get rid of it for 1 turn, having one less Omni negate and a bonus attack is Very useful! A little situational but not a bad effect at all

Seiyaryu has been my All Time Favorite since I was 13! When I heard it was getting Legacy Support I was SO Happy! I just hope it in the future is tier 2 or at least good Rough Deck

@@GoldenNovaYugioh Ok so 1st Make a card that gives them a bit more recurssion, 2nd An easy 2-3 card combo to perform 4-6 summons a turn, and 3rd 1 of those cards has a Banish from the GY effect to Quick effect summon and destroy and the summon can't be negated. Would that be enough to see Rogue play?

Im not sure why they made it "Lvl7 Light Dragon" instead of the dragons name specifically. Also Sauravis is a maindeck (edit: ritual) monster, yet is removed during 8:55. Its probably the most other relevant target as its essentially a weird handtrap. Also just you wait when they print a broken lvl7 light dragon and suddenly have 10 ways to summon it :v)

I treated Saurvis like Lightray Diablos: It's a main deck card with a special summon condition. It just ended up having enough going for it that it got a call back xD And yeah, I'm scared of the day a legit Level 7 LIGHT Dragon theme shows up, cause this is gonna get wild.

not sure whether or not the names were changed, since i started playing Master Duel in December 2022. what i can tell you is that now, the knights have "Starry Knight" before their names. same thing with the spells and traps. the Dragon is called "Starry Night, Starry Dragon." Bahartiya, the Skypiercer of the Light, is called Bahalutiya, the Grand Radiance. the Starry Knights, dragon, spells and traps were featured in a loaner deck for the Light vs Dark event several months back. it was pretty fun to use.

I think I'm gonna build something around it. But I have to give shout out to Nova, you do good work, I grew tired of the same old review on RU-vid for yu gi oh, you give me a different feel, plus you cover the occasional odd archetypes, so I can build relatively unique decks. I'm all for the rogue decks, I think there are too many cards in the game for everyone to be playing the same decks over and over again.

I've been play testing this deck for a while now. It's not the greatest, but the gimmicks are still pretty fun. Recommend trying out Successor Soul, Tires Of The Brethren and the Light Barrier Statue. Also trying out Sacred Sword Of Seven Stars for draw power, but I might cut it. Also not a fan of the field spell despite how good it technically is.

I have Honest in my deck and it really helps this archetype alot since they are all light based.

I think the best way to expand on this archetype would be to give them more swarming so that the holy knights with field effects can get out faster, and more level seven light dragons with effects that activate on summon. Perhaps they can even go farther with the anti dark them by giving them an archetypeal watthopper. And for some extra disruption, a countertrap verson of holy night blast. Also an archetypeal honest that searches a level 7 light dragon opon hitting the grace helps too.

And maybe make Radiant Seiyaryu make it able to proc it’s destroy effect 3 or more times per turn on a easy 2-3 card combo. Additionally 1 of the cards used in that combo have a Banish from Graveyard effect to summon Destroy on Quick effect.

I remember using this deck in the xyz festival in master duel. It was surprisingly effective, ironically while using odd-eyes saber dragon as the secondary boss so I could use odd-eyes absolute dragon effectively. Wish I thought of the relay soul tech...that would have been hilarious.

now all we need, and pardon me for saying this so late, is a Serpent Night Dragon archetype to act as a counter force to the Seiyaryu archetype. cause according to wiki or lore, what little there is, Seiyrayu and Serpent Night Dragon are opposites, a ying/yang to one another, and it would be so awesome to see a duel between these 2 opposing forces. come on konami, you keep giving blue eyes/dark magician support to this day, give serpent night dragon an archetype to itself!!!!

Someone’s actually doing something similar with this one fanfic i’m reading. Instead though, it’s the dude owning both a lair of darkness and Holy night deck. My only irk is that he uses none of the virus cards in the dark deck.

Personally I like this Archetype, sure it's pretty simple and has not to many cards, or splashable ones, but I find it interesting and cool. I do hope Konami release more cards for it.

Theory: they’re not a Christmas pun, they represent heavenly forces. I feel that another normal dragon could get retrained into say “evil knights” , you know heaven vs hell type beat

You know what would be interesting? Introducing this archetype to Duel links except without Radiant Seiyaru. Quick effect popping on a loop is too strong for duel links but swarming lvl 7 normals, drawing and popping could really be cool

I would not be surprised! I feel like a lot of themes get printed JUST so they can put them in Duel Links later on, and Starry Knight certainly fits the bill.

Me neither! I think it's incredible that certain decks that never make it in Paper YGO have such an amazing run in Duel Links. This archetype needs either a ritual upgrade or more level 7 Light Dragons that do more stuff to counter Extra Deck Summons hell its the only deck in which Seal of Orichalos (idk how to spell) isnt a joke but actually really great especially to help close the gap with Blue eyes

Automatically 3 it really gets the board clearing effect going plus whatever level 7 dragon you might have besides Holy Drag. Pot of Aqust. Helps get 3 banished cards back and a free draw Storm dragons return pretty good to

The crazy card I want in the deck? Ma'at. This is literally the first archetype built around Light Dragons and Light Fairies, and running things like Card Advance, Archefiend's Oath, and Convulsion of Nature along side the Christmas angels would be hilarious.

I don't think it's a bad Archetype (though I'm a fanatic of light-attribute monsters so I may be a bit bias here) but I agree that it needs some filling out to be very feasible. Still, if you're playing a casual game on Christmas, I can't' think of a better theme.

This deck is so fun in master duel. I was able to get out 3 Starry Dragons and a seiyaryu and a hyozonryu just for the hell of it against a quasar player.

This was made before the Localization was known, so the names in the video are a bit outdated.

Pulling an entire archetype out of thin air to support a random normal monster sounds like something I would do and I hate it Also yes I hate the fact that the negate trap of the archetype isn't even a counter trap like konami you had one job

Yeah, I like how I complained about a negation trap not being a Counter one, but then Konami made a Spell that Ritual Summons that's not a Ritual Spell, so maybe this is just a new direction they're taking xD

Ok im confused, does night skys effect allow you to just drop a level seven dragon on the field no questions asked?

Unfortunately, you would have to tribute for it, since it doesn't say "without tribute summoning" as part of the extra normal summon.

@@GoldenNovaYugioh well shoot. Well at least ive figured ways around that. Im planning on building a deck that uses starry knights but the real starts of the show are the dragons. With stuff like king dragun, flute of summoning dragons, and revival rapsody and darkness metal dragon for swarming and protection, along side dragonsbing and lord of the red and dragons bind for lockdown and disruption, maybe even a skilldrain later down the line. As well as return of the dragon lords along side arcbrave and the felgrand retrain. Thats what ive gotten down so far but personally i think this deck has some merrit to it, what do you think?

Ooooo, that makes sense! Summon Radiant in response to an attack, pop a card, then focus all the attention on them so your opponent can't attack any of your Holy Nights. That's pretty cool, I really like it!

"All I want for Christmas is--" "This Dragon." "N-No, I was--" "This. Dragon." Also, as a stark contrast for the Holy Night, how about covering Red Dragon Archfiend and its support? It seems fitting as they're basically the antithesis of Holy Night. (Sorry Stardust, you're plum outta luck this time.) Holy Light Dragons, vs Fiendish Dark Dragons. Light Fairies vs Dark (and Fire) Fiends.
