This film accompanied me throughout my childhood, becoming a regular appointment every Christmas 😁. Even now, when the Christmas period arrives, on the threshold of 25 years, I always look at it with the same passion and emotion of a child 😄. I am happy that you, Vicky, have rediscovered this Christmas classic together with the fantastic group that you all make up ☺️. If I can give you a little advice from an animated film lover: recover Rise of the Guardians! Perfect to see during the Christmas holidays 😆. I am sure you will not be disappointed. The church scene with Marley is the best especially as it meshes with the ending scene with the son and granddaughter. Not to mention the Dickens name reference. Also I would love to see them do a reaction of the 1951 Christmas carol with Alastair McClain, the greatest film version of that story.

If haven’t see it already I highly recommend seeing “Home Alone 2 Lost In New York”. Many tend to like it just as much if not more than first 1. Love all of you beautiful ladies and your reaction videos.

when Old Man Marley reunites with his son's family it never fails to make me cry talk about a christmas miracle

The soundtrack to this movie is fantastic. I think it's the main reason that the film is a nostalgic family favourite for a lot of people. It's really kind of a silly film, but the music is magical

With all the damage and mess Kevin and the Wet Bandits did to the house, think of how much cleaning and repair Kevin had to do in a short time. I hope he remembered to remove the nail from the basement stairs, salt the outside stairs, pick up each little toy or figurine, clean up the broken Christmas tree ornaments, the sticky wrap and all the feathers, take down the paint buckets and ropes. He may also have to explain to Dad why he was using his blowtorch (most Dad's know when you use their tools). It's a big house, too.

It also tells the connection between mother and son. How a mother somehow knows about her son even though it’s late and would do anything to get to him. How without even checking she knew she forgot kevin. Despite me forgetting, my mom always is the first one to remember my birthday heheh

Also during the filming the exterior of filming the house they filmed it in a abandoned High School in the gymnasium. They also filmed the area where the movies Ferris Bueller Day Off, Uncle Buck and The Breakfast Club. The High School is abandoned now but a police station now. John Hughes used the High School at the time for easy location filming to make it easier. Check out the other films if you have not seen them. The movie Planes, Trains and Automobiles was filmed from the same Director. The actor that plays Kevin in Home Alone was also in Uncle Buck movie

When we were teenagers we had a 3 story treehouse. a closed in bottom with a drt floor ,the middle room and the roof or penthouse all open. we used to meet there and have parties. we had a big 1 and a lot of people showed many got cauth by cops coming into the woods with cases of beer. we we all under age at the time. it was a fun and awesome night. the cops didn't get us all. there was about 50-100 kids in total. MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR may 2022 be 100x's better than 2021.

Fun fact. During the height of the lock down I delivered pizzas as a side job in the Wilmette IL area and delivered a pizza to that house and the owners did not tip 😑😂

I know I’m a year late with comments but I used to live 45 minutes from the Home Alone House. John Candy gave the mother a ride to Chicago. He didn’t ask to get paid for the role because he was a very good friends with John Hughes. I met the father that played Peter McCallister in the tv show Prison Break that was filmed in Chicago. Very nice person and R.I.P. to John

Hey, guys. I really love this movie a lot. I thought it was very entertaining. Kevin, sometimes didn't like his family, but sometimes he does misses them. Anyway, the critics weren't too keen it. But they had to admit, it was a the highest-grossing live-action comedy ever as the best Christmas movie ever made. Thumbs way up for me on "Home Alone", and Happy 31ts Anniversary!!!!
