Fun fact: Marv's Yell was dubbed in later because yelling like that would have disturbed and frightened the Tarantula, he would have bitten Marv, also Daniel Stern (Marv) is Arachnophobic and he told the director he would only do that one take and that was final.
You should check out the youtube channel Minty Comedy Art. He does 10 things you didn't know about a different movie each episode and he does Home Alone and Home Alone 2
you gotta give it to Harry and Marv they took all those hits like champs and kept going, normal person would have died multiple times throughout the movie xD
My sister once accidentally left her little son at our parents' house when everyone was supposed to be at a Christmas party else where. Once everyone figuered my nephew was missing, my mom jokingly exclaimed that "Kevin is missing!" My sister was not amused.
If you watch close when kevins dad is throwing napkins in the trash he accidentally tosses kevin's plane ticket which is why his absence went unnoticed because the mom didnt have his to hand out.
@@mnomadvfx I never noticed the cut until I recently watched a video about Home Alone and they talked about it. Then I saw it when I watched it during Christmas time
In Poland we have tradition when is december 24 whole country watches Home Alone at 8 p.m from nearly 30 years ;) Home Alone its Called in Poland "Kevin sam w domu" - Kevin Home Alone ;) Merry Christmas from Poland ;)
I like the idea of believing this is the childhood of the man who would grow up to star in the "saw" franchise, this is how he got his love of traps and tortures. lol
I've always wondered what that conversation between Kevin and his parents would have been like when he explains how he almost killed two grown men who were trying to rob them by subjecting them to a bunch of booby traps lol
Kevin’s whole family was trash. Not to mention I always hated how Kevin was always made out to be the troublemaker but yet his siblings were the ones always starting trouble with him first and yet they never got punished for anything. 😑😤😡
Christmas tradition in Spain: parade on the 5th of January, the three wise men ride camels through the streets, their assistants collect kids' letters for presents on the 6th, and give out candy.
Fun fact: Larry Hankin who plays Sgt. Balzak with the doughnut is the same actor who plays the owner of the junkyard in Breaking Bad. More fun facts: There is a long running internet joke/rumor that Kevin grew up to be the Jigsaw killer from the Saw movies. In the movie Bicentenial Man, Kate McAllister is referenced in one of the early scenes. The film is also directed by Chris Colombus, pretty much confirming that Bicentenial Man and Home Alone share the same universe.
One of the best Family Guy skits is the recreation of this story with competent robbers. They just straight up shot Kevin in the face in like 2 seconds.
My mom is one out of fourteen kids, so on her side of the family is huge! I have so many Aunts, Uncles and cousins which are mostly girls. So I always felt a bit of sympathy for Kevin. We are all sassy and pick on each other, but not at the extent to be cruel which always made me sad.
You know I heard that's the Uncle was supposed to be the true main villain he hired the burglars to rob those houses and that's why he wasn't concerned about Kevin
Pat: Kids back in the day got away with a lot of stuff. Me: Nope. There is NO way my parents would have let me talk to them that way. I would have gotten yelled at and maybe even spanked (if what I said was bad enough). And grounded. And (during my younger years) would have had to sit in the corner of the room, facing the wall, to think about what I did, and then explain what I did that was wrong, and apologize.
Now y'all have to see Home Alone 2. It's as good as the first, with a sense that they've refined the humor. The third is good and I like it. The rest are them milking out the brand. There are videos going over what would really happen to Harry and Marv. As a kid, the slap-stick is hilarious. Now that I'm older, it's still hilarious, but you feel more sympathy for Harry and Marv.
The Popp’n knowledge version of the film, which aired on FreeForm, actually goes into detail on how catastrophic the injuries the bandits sustained would be in real life, one included the feathers which resulted in “bruised pride”
This movie is so dang good, just for fun you all should react to the "death count" for it, it's pretty funny, and talks about all the times they probably would/should have died and why 😂
My mom still has the VHS version of this movie she bought in 1993. Man this is a classic of the 90's. An enjoyable one too which I can watch all over again.
...Huh. I've literally spent, like, the last 5 hours watching Christmas movie reactions (the last three being HOME ALONe, even), and then this uploads.
I mean, at a certain point, after all that pain, you'd think they'd give up! It just wouldn't be worth it to keep trying to get into that house. LOL. (But of course, then there'd be no movie.)
I love y'all reaction, Home Alone is one of my favorite movies on Christmas season, but could y'all also react Home Alone 2 Lost in New York? It'll be swell
Fun fact: at the end of the Santa scene, that car broke down for real, and it fit the moment so well everyone decided to roll with it, this movie has some of the best worst luck.
One of the best movie screams in history! That was a REAL tarantula on his face! Stepping on a nail on the staircase didn’t bother me much in Home Alone. But it does make me cringe every time in A Quiet Place. IF interested in a NON-comedic movie featuring a home invasion in the climax, try Wait Until Dark (1967)
I always watch Home Alone 2 (because it's my favorite of the Home Alone movies), The Santa Clause, Elf, and It's a Wonderful Life. you guys should react to It's a Wonderful Life if you haven't seen it because it's a classic and has a great message.
i think they forgot that this movie was made in 1990 when they said they would have more alarms xD also there is theory that little kevin grew up and changed name to John Kramer (the jigsaw) from that point i think you know what the rest of theory is :D
“It Ain’t How Hard You Hit…It’s How Hard You Can Get Hit and Keep Moving Forward. It's About How Much You Can Take And Keep Moving Forward!” - Sylvester Stallone, Rocky Balboa - Michael Scott - Marv & Harry
Whenever the mom explains about Kevin being home alone, notice that she keeps leaving out the part about forgetting and leaving without him, i think the only person she mentions that to is the polka guy.
Here in California we used to do the same thing as kids as far as recording movies on TV. Also favorite Christmas movie as a kid was SANTA CLAUS starring TIM ALLEN
Just for the record, I'm white and if I talked to my parents that way when I was Kevin's age I wouldn't have been able to sit down for a while. And even when I was a little kid, I couldn't help but think: "Why didn't Kevin just drop the damn toothbrush?"
Pat's brother is a riot lmao I can't believe he pulled that crap and lived to tell the tale. Th wet bandits are like the final bosses in a video game. They took so many hits and somehow still survived. Kevin was low-key psycho. He really was enjoying torturing these people. It stopped being self defense real quick lol. That kid never took the time to run away while they were down. He just kept luring them into new traps. Love that movie though. My Christmas playlist is the Home Alone series, How The Grinch Stole Christmas, Nightmare Before Christmas, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Charlie Brown, Elf.
