Wonderful video! I usually add about a teaspoon of vinegar to my water bath too. It keeps that dusty white lime sediment off the lids, rings and jars. I'm going to try this recipe, it looks like it would be amazing!
I made this dill relish yesterday and I have to say, it is very vinegary, if that is even a word. I did add about 1/4 cup sugar, not the full amount the recipe called for, but it is still tart. Perhaps it will taste better in a couple of weeks but as of this writing (and tasting) I am not sure I would make it again. I should have made a small batch first.
Found you when looking up a dill relish recipe. I did use your video to make relish. I enjoyed your video but having to keep going back and forth for the ingredients and amounts was exhausting. This took way more time than it could have. Having the recipe written for your viewers allows your viewers to properly prep. To follow along with you. It’s much easier and pleasurable for a subscriber, in my opinion.
The complete recipe was linked in the description and can be found here: www.littlehouseliving.com/home-canned-dill-relish-recipe.html I always have recipes typed up on the blog.
Good video! I have watched several videos for dill relish looking for a different recipe than the one I have. I think the reason you got 19 jars is because you hand chopped the pickles. I like them better hand chopped. Food processors seem to pulverize foods. I like chunky foods, ☺️. Thanks for the video!
