That is really cool.....thank you for showing! I have the .22 mold for the 5.56 AR but had not noticed the pellet molds before. It definitely pays to be prepared. Boy, that thing is a Thumper. Love it. Thanks, again!
Thanks for the video. Please record a casting session. I believe your visitors are more interested in the casting of the pellets and possibly where you acquired the mold.
Hi PL That's a great piece of kit to have with the way things are heading. I have tried getting another version but the maker hasn't been able to keep up with the current demand and closed his online store. I hope our Benji 342's like them! I don't think the accuracy was bad at all just as long as people don't hope for the same JSB accuracy. These certainly hit very hard!
That is a good desgine if you are shooting a pcp, multi pump rifle, but a break barrel needs a thin skirt to grab the rifling, To start the spinning of the pellet as it goes down the barrel.
Sir , I would really like to see the pelet making process and also how much did the mold or press cost ? I've only seen molds costing more than 300 dollars . I just bought 22cal Gamo round ball thinking of making my own mold for molten lead . 200 pelets for H&N pellets go for 20 bucks 10cents a shot for pellets is just too much . Your pellets look great . Please if possible tell us where you got the mold , how much it cost ? And I believe we would all love to see the process . SUPER COOL 😎 Video
Excellent info, thank you! Looks like a perfect solution to my plinking cravings. I was wondering if you ever tried #4 buckshot? A 22 lead BB would be fun
I haven't, but I've heard of others using 4B in the NAA cap and ball revolvers.. They would probably have to be run through a sizer to work in an air rifle; I think they're about .240"
Did ya tumble em after casting? They look pretty clean, like MegaBait said things are getting skinny. Im waiting on a couple of critical component's for my 71 W200 then im heading out of Florida. Hope you are well!
@@Possumliving I had a 66 D200 225 tower of power! had 35k miles on it sold it couple of years ago for way more then i bought it.. kicking myself for selling it like all the other good vehicles and bikes..
Those must be extremely fussy to cast being so small and with a hollow base. Do you get a lot of rejects? I expect you must have to cast with a lot of heat.
I do have to cast with a lot of heat. Once everything is up to temp and I've established a good rhythm, I get mostly good pellets with the occasional reject. But yeah, early in the casting session I do get a lot of rejects.
Where did you get your Pellet mold maker??? Are you using recycled lead or scrap metal to make them??? Can you make a video on how you make your pellets?
I got the mold from NOE. I am very hesitant to ever buy from them again, for reasons I won't go into here. I use soft lead, either scrap or bought as ingots. I might do a casting video but it will probably be on my Rumble channel instead of here. YT likes to issue strikes for such how-to videos.
@@Possumliving I really would like to start making my own pellets, save me $$$$ Its always good for survival purposes to make your own, especially if you live in rural areas. You can definitely just eat off of the land, harvest squirrels, deer, fowl, quail et.
As someone who respects your opinion, I am curious to find out why you are hesitant to buy from them again. I am asking because I am thinking about buying one of their molds@@Possumliving
@@tomcasselman4934 The last time I bought from them, everything I bought was showing on the website as in stock. My card was charged immediately. A month later I started trying to contact them. I tried every phone number and email address I could find for them, and got absolutely zero response. Tried to join their forum and couldn't. After almost three months of them having my money, I commented somewhere that I was about to reverse the charge on my card. Boom, I instantly get a form email that my order is on its way. No comment other than that, and still no reply to any of my attempts to contact. The order arrived a few days later, minus one item. I emailed one more time and told them to just keep the item they had shorted me. They did; I never received it nor any acknowledgement of any of my attempts at communication. I had dealt with them a few times before this last order, with no issue. So I can think of no reason the owner would have a problem with me. Have you ever noticed that every single review of them is 100 percent, 5-star glowing accolades? I never noticed that until this experience.
That's about the same accuracy I'm seeing with my .25 caliber diabolo mold. Not acceptable in my opinion. I have a .25 caliber wadcutter mold that does much better. Both of them are NOE.
This being YT, I can't provide a link to something like that. Search for "NOE." I'm putting this kind of content on my Rumble page because they still believe in free speech. I can provide a lot more info on this stuff, there.
