I know people are always talking about how she looks so young. But when she sings... that’s a trained instrument you don’t get overnight. Her sustain is always gorgeous in all her work; mask-ey, solid unwavering pitch and so pleasant. BUT when she relaxes into her vibrato?!!! She’s a powerful belter with the technique to back it up. She knows her instrument, it’s all so controlled and precise.
Love the teens on broadway, really amazing work. But hearing what an experienced voice sounds like in this role? Can’t wait to see what Sophia does with this in reunion concerts down the line, going to be jaw dropping.
Love Sophia and her very riot gurrll approach to Lydia’s but Dana’s voice sits in the orchestrations soo well. Even in GirlScout, Dana obviously hears the big picture. I mean that final Home sustained for an extra beat after orchestrations cut?! Thrilling! What a pro
Bug Beverage I have a secret channel :>> well I just started and like I’m reacting to musicals but it’s gacha and I’m reacting to like beetle juice and Hamilton bc why not 😎
The emotion here is amazing... I get the impression that Dana is really feeling the character here. amazing performance... the only Lydia where the grief really comes across in this song
I feel like she is trying a little to hard to act like a little girl. It's understandable couse she's a women when Sophia and Presley were teenagers but Lydia is not a child so I don't know if that is necessery. Just thinking. I still love her and her voice.
I mean, Lydia is 14... So she’s a kid and honestly I don’t feel like she plays a little girl and the distinction between her Lydia and GirlScout are really drastic. Her Lydia is like that kid who tries so hard to be a tough woman but is just a teenage girl trying her best w what she have.
@@pretoilustra I meant just the way she says some words it' s just how little kids do. It was great for Girl Scout but for Lydia it's little to much. Just in my opinion.
