You are correct, we service many brother PR series machines, and the needle threader heads are very fragile, I do like the brother machines, but what I prefer about companies like Ricoma and Leija is they make serious embroidery machines also, not just diy style machines like brother. This to me is the defining point, if a manufacturer can make a multi head machine, whether it be 5 heads or 100, they know what they are doing.

Hey Henry, this was a great video! 👍👍👍 This has convinced me to buy a Ricoma machine over the equivalent Brother. You're absolutely right, pound for pound the Ricoma is a better deal ... and furthermore, I HATE that Brother charges extra for absolutely everything! If anyone is reading this comment, listen to this man - he speaks the truth.

Yeah I would buy the Ricoma EM1010 due to the low price and all the accessories included in the price which is immense but Ricoma, you need to get that camera setup even if it means upping the price, that live camera setup is just genius on the Brother 10 needle embroidery machine! Like you can literally pinpoint exactly where you want your artwork to be placed absolutely accurately on the item you're embroidering using the screen attached.

Ricoma Embroidery Machines I actually do need help with the chroma software, I’ve purchased embroidery dst files from Etsy, however I don’t k ow how to transfer them onto my usb.. who can help?

Can you do small pockets without having to remove the pocket from the shirt?

It all depends on how small a pocket you are talking about. If the sewing arm can't fit it if then you wont bee able to. If it does, there needs to be a little room for it to move around from left to right.

I have been looking at this machine and comparing the prices. I like the 10 needles, but I like that Brother comes with a Cam to view your area for placement. Not sure how the Ricoma works with perfect placement.

They’re great if you have the budget. But it’ll cost you an arm and a leg (and maybe a kidney lol) to get one. Typically you get more “bang for your buck” with ricoma since for the same budget for 1 ZSK, you can probably get 2 ricoma single heads. Hope this helps!

Great question! We have a network of certified technicians throughout the US and if a service is needed on site at your location, we can dispatch a technician to you instead of bringing the machine in for service. Hope this helps!

Yeah...but ur em1010 only does 11 inches on caps vs 14" on the pro x pr1055

With 15 needles, you can save time on larger items with more colors. you can also have pre set needles on different part of the machine set up for different projects instead of changing your needles so often.

Hand threading a machine is a huge turnoff for me

Most commercial multi-needle machines will not come with an auto threader. We've found that most embroiders prefer to thread their own machine for preferred tension purposes. Thank for watching!
