That was such a fun video. This is an original song that Tim wrote. These guys know how to have fun without compromising their vocals. Rob is great with his whistling & love Adam's vocal percussion. Home Free are my favorite a cappella band out there. And Avi Kaplan did a cameo role in this one.
this was written by Tim years before he was in Home Free, and when he was living in Los Angeles and working for a record label and his boss forced home to write a country song, so he went overboard and wrote the silliest country song he could
Guys sitting in a boat and Rob rowing without a paddle, is a nice foreshadowing of Tim's story. Up a creek without a paddle. So many people miss that clue, but it made me laugh so hard. His "...prison's nowhere near the mall" had me drying tears of laughter. So good.
Aren't they just so silly? So much fun. They can make you laugh, cry, think, reflect, chill, rev you up, brighten your day, inspire you. They are a one stop musical group. Love these guys.
They said that Tim got drunk and then wrote the most ridiculous song he could kinda like a protest and then the joke on him was it did very well and had millions if likes. I know I still love it and makes me laugh every time. Did you see Aviv Kaplan make a guest appearance in this one and riding the mechanical bull at the end. Thanks. Yeh I saw an interview with Tim where he tells the story. He wrote it as a joke and to be sarcastic and never thought it would be as popular as it is. 😂
This is a Tim Foust original and really well known. I don't know if you know Pentatonix the guy in the cowboy hat that crossed in front of them was Avi Kaplan from that group. Enjoyed watching your reaction to this song.

It’s so much fun. Tim was being pressured (by his boss at the time) to write only country songs. He got drunk and wrote this one in a night. It’s been a big hit for him, funnily enough. Love the lyrics. She won’t come to visit him at all since the prison’s no where near the mall..hahahaha! Just gotta love Tim. Love your laugh! 🤣😍

Really, you missed a lot of the fun (including Avi from Pentatonix) because you were so busy not looking at the video. IDK if you have watched All About the Bass yet, but you have to pay attention to the video and you'll get even more enjoyment from it if you watch and pay attention to Meghan Trainor's original video first.
