These guys do an amazing job of this song! They can do any genre including R&B. Rob's voice has so much feeling & soul in it. Austin adding his higher tones, Chance is holding down the bass in the back, Tim adding some deeper bass notes & Adam with his fabulous vocal percussion. These guys are my favorite a cappella group out there. All their songs are good whether it is serious, heart warming or funny.

It’s not the original. It’s just five guys with only their voices (no drums) having fun singing a song they obviously love. They’ve said how much they listened to Boyz II Men, and were thrilled to sing for Shawn Stockman on The Sing Off show.
They were actually asked by boys to men to sing the song as one of them was a judge on the talent show they were on . Which they won. Incredible group.
Great Reaction!! They are the best A Cappella group IMO. You are right there is no lead singer they each sing the song ( except Adam the beatboxer)then choose who’s voice or voices work for the song. Four of the five can solo on a song. I believe they each try and the group decides whose voice would best serve the song. They always work in the service of the song, not themselves. The three southern boys, Austin (Tenor - Georgia), Tim (Bass - East Texas) and Chance (Bass/Baritone - Alabama) have each launched solo projects. In addition they do collaborations with others. They have a close relationship with Peter Hollens, another artist to consider listening to and they have collaborated with some famous folks as well, e.g. Alabama, The Oak Ridge Boys, Kenny Rogers, etc. They have over 160 official videos to wander through covering a wide variety of genres. Happy rabbit holing...

Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men said that "the boys can blow," about Home Free when he was a judge on The Sing-Off, an acapella competition show. Home Free won the fourth season of the competition . They also sang at Diana Ross's seventieth birthday. They have collaborated with other famous artists such as Kenny Rogers,. Don McLean , Jewel, and the Oak Ridge Boys to name a few.
As I heard it, they were asked to sing at the birthday, based on their Love Train. However, COVID stepped in and messed that up, as it did so many things.
@@thomasmacdiarmid8251 Tim was asked about singing at her birthday and confirmed that they did. Diana Ross is ,79 so her seventieth birthday was quite a while before Covid. Home Free was in the middle of a successful European tour with sold out performances when they had to abandon it before US borders closed down in quarantine. Tim and Jens had to leave their clothes that they had cleaned at the laundromat and the group abandoned props and merchandise to catch the earliest flights back to the US.
@@lazylady8591 Thanks for replying. Reading what you wrote, I knew there had to be an inaccuracy, as the Love Train video includes Chance, who had not been with HF 9 years ago. The sources I could find said they were invited for Ross's 75th birthday. That would of course be 2019, which would mean that the lockdowns would not have prevented them performing.

I started falling in love with a Capella groups about 3 years ago, and never looked back.....just the skill alone, in creating instruments like in a band, with just their voices, sets these groups apart from all the rest, and their skills are beyond mention! Another thing I also appreciate as well, is they are able to cross genres with ease, as in the case, where Home Free is generally Country, they can also sing soul, rock pop, and everything in-between. I would love you to check out their version of Listen to the music (pop song), Butts Remix,(Fun song), Folsom Prison Blues(Country song) & When a Man Loves a Woman(Power Ballad), just so you can see their versatility 😊

I love Boyz II Men and have played End of the Road so many times. I never thought I'd ever like a cover of this song. But Home Free did it, while maintaining the respect for the original. How wonderfully sung by all! But for me it is mainly Rob Lundquist ( beard and glasses) who nailed it. What a great voice with so much soul in it. He touches me deep inside. Of course it is the combination of the other leads, fantastic harmony, bone-feeling bassline and the inhuman vocal percussion that makes it complete.

Subbed for more Home Free. Enjoyed your reaction. There are tons of cell phone videos of their live performances. The best quality of them live is actually of The Sing-Off Season Four. This is really when Home Free took off. There's videos of their performances on RU-vid. I'd suggest you watch the individual performances so you can hear the judges' feedback. If nothing else, watch the Sing-Off version of the 3rd one, where Home Free sings Ring Of Fire. It was definitely fire 🔥! BTW I liked how you had an interview clip at the beginning of your video!
Caution - Home Free is highly addictive! They're all vocal chameleons - the bass (Tim) has a 5+ octave range. The high tenor (Austin) & lead tenor (Rob) have an duet of "Nessun Dorma". They each have a channel of their own (Austin has 2 - one is music, the other is his lady Amberly's "Beauty and the Bass" - bass fish that is, they both love fishing!).

Subsctibed to watch your Home Free journey. They have hundreds of songs in their catalog, all good. Their latest album had 12 original songs on it and they are good songwriters too. Understand, Whats Left of My Heart were written by Tim Foust, bass. Stargazer Lilies, Give Me a Sign, and MR were just released as the Stargazer trilogy were written by Austin Brown, high tenor.

I just stumbled onto the channel because I saw you reacted to this song, and I love seeing people get their minds blown by these guys' ability to be so soulful, and do our favorite songs not only without it's being disappointing, but actually adding something-- not to mention doing it without a single instrument (I hope you noticed the beatboxer's work on this one-- amazing!). Thanks for the great reaction...and if you want to have an experience every bit as great as this one, with at least as much of a surprise at what they can do, please check out their cover of the classic 'When a Man Loves a Woman," originally (and staggeringly wonderfully) done by Percy Sledge. I never thought I could stand to listen to anyone else sing that song because nobody could, for me, give it the power, soul and emotion that Percy Sledge gave the original- but against all odds (in my mind, anyway) Home Free did it, with Austin Brown taking the lead. I promise you, you will not, even after having heard End of the Road, believe what he did with it (Austin is the high tenor, the guy with the longish reddish hair). I also bet you anything you will not only not be disappointed, but be floored, and glad you chose to listen to it.
