This is a cover of an Old Dominion song. "My Church!" Since you're taking votes! Then "Never Gonna Give You Up." Maybe a little like Jesus... 🤣 Every time Tim starts to sing he starts with a touch of a growl. It's very distinctive!
Love your reactions. I love My Boys. Been a Granny Fry since 2014. They are wonderful guys who share huge talent and work ethic. The 5 are so much better than them individually. Their concerts are great. Live they are something... five goofy guys who just want to have fun. Love your reactions. There are many videos of concerts put on YT for you pleasure.
This was a cover of Old Dominion's original song. Home Free put their spin on it and it is wonderful. Love the harmonies and everything they do with it. Love that everyone has a lead at one time or another and Adam Rupp sings a few bars too. I don't mind the pauses. I learn a lot when reactors pause to explain what they are hearing. Love your reactions! Keep doing you and you can't go wrong.
Soooooo good. Love your reaction. I think " My Church" next and then " Never Gonna Give You Up". They're both really great but I've been wanting you to do " My Church". Cant wsit...
By the time you read this you may have already seen the video of Tim's original song "What's Left of My Heart" - it exemplifies what you said about his being the perfect country singer. Every one of them is so good that it's truly wonderful that they seem happy to stay in Home Free and just exercise their creativity on side projects.
Don't apologize for pausing. I love it best when you go back over something, even three or four times, because it's just so good. It just highlights the true artistry of these guys.
I love it when you just have to pause! You always point out something that I have missed, I mean I heard it as a fantastic whole but didn't realise what it was that made it so special x
"What the ribbit?" Cracked me up!🤣 Adam's nickname is The Freak of Nature! And he proves it all the time! Tim's upper range has gotten stronger and Chance has really come into his own! If you aren't looking at the video or know that Tim is singing lead, you aren't hearing an obvious change in the bass! These guys just keep evolving into total beasts!
When Rob says "I'll lay down the beat"... that crazy noise and glance from Adam screams 'I dare you!'. Another amazing cover. Rob most definitely has a ton of Gospel in his voice, but any of them can take you to Church. Love it!
First; this song is fire 🔥! Second; great reaction, as always! Thank you! Third; Never Gonna Give You Up is the Rick Astley song. They gave it to us on April Fools, after they totally Rick Rolled us!!! Someone else listed songs to check out before Never Gonna Give You Up, including Bohemian Rhapsody, go with that recommendation!
Home Free has been doing a series of "Home Away From Home" videos, showing the tour life on the road, places they go to, eat at, who they meet along the way. This latest drop you mentioned was their first show back on the road since everything got shut down for them a year and a half before, so that was the first Home Away From Home we've seen in a while too. Whatever you want to do from Home Free will be good, so take your pick and I'll watch. I love your reactions!
Rob's voice is absolutely perfect for the doo-wop sound with his velvet voice. It makes you want to move & groove. Just never know what favor Home Free will add to a song & Adam's beatboxing is on point and yes he is having fun. If you notice when Chance says no bass Tim actually stops singing. Love seeing Adam Rupp singing when they go into their amazing 5 part harmony. Great reaction
Don't apologize for being YOU! Love your reactions and your attention to the little details! Keep em coming! Check out their mashup of Thinking out Loud/Let's Get It on! Also, Blue Ain't Your Color! Thank you for what you do!!!
They've really really enhanced this one a bunch :). So good. TBH -- in tune with what you were sayin' .... In any song that they perform, you go back and listen --- each voice stands out individually but together, they blend -- again, easily missed. Distinctive and rare. And if listening close enough, Adam adds in many sounds believe it or not... it truly amazes!
I was just listening to some Home Free in the car and found one you should check out. They do have a video for it. Adam shows out a little with the percussion. It's their cover of House Party. It's a great one from before Chris left the group. There's a surprise guest in the video that you'll recognize.
Yes please do My Church next.. Love your reactions keep them coming the Home Free rabbit hole is very deep. Their quarantine songs are very entertaining and I know they helped me keep my sanity during that difficult time as I work in retail so was very stressed most days.
They have so many awesome songs. You should also check out their cover of Moonshine as well as their cover/mashup of Thinking Out Loud (Ed Sheeran)/Let's Get It On (Marvin Gaye).
Nick, they did it again...this was not only a GRAND SLAM it was into outer space !!! That section right after Austin's solo....those harmonies are off the chain !!! This has easily gone up to my top 5 on my Home Free list. Old Dominion did the original & had a hit with it in 2019
Love this, too Kool, great voices, All shine…..cover of Old Dominion. It’s so soothing to the soul ❤️🥰💥‼️. And, I love what you said about Austin 🥰❤️‼️. And, Adam Is just too funny with some of his sounds….too Terrific 🙃🥰🔥‼️💥. Rob has SOUL 🔥🥰💥‼️ Thank You for your reaction 🔥💥‼️🥰🙃
Always … love your reactions! Home Free has kicked it up a notch! Just LOVE the 5-part harmony that occurs after Austin does his run! I have never seen Adam Rupt smile so much in a tune! Actually they all look very happy and at ease in this performance! LOVE HOME FREE … they just give and give! Have you reacted to Dive Bar Saints yet????? Been looking for it. Thank you … and keep doing what you’re doing, just the way you do it! 😁👏👏👏
Love your reactions. By the way one of Home Free’s founders Chris Rupp (Adam’s brother) has an a cappella group with their sister Tristin called 7th Ave Band. Check out their cover of Yesterday and It’s so hard to say goodbye and Hallelujah 🔥🔥🔥
If you are going to do Never Gonna Give You Up you should do a quad reaction... My Heart Will Go On, Don't Stop Believin, Bohemian Rhapsody, and then Never Gonna Give You Up. You can do them all in one reaction as the first 3 are shorts. That's what they did to us on April 1st. They released the first 3 then came back a day later with Rick's song.
If you enjoyed the Home Away From Home video about their first show back, you should check out the whole series. They've done quite a few of them. There's also a really great little feature they did called Southerner in the Snow that follows Tim on a visit to Minnesota that is hilarious. All of them are really funny, likeable dudes. As far as music goes, one of my favorites is their cover of Can't Stop the Feeling. Well worth watching.
Heya - I am a recent subscriber 😊 I LOVE how you do your reactions❣️ I love that you pause and explain things and highlight things!! Home Free is an amazingly talented group of guys who love what they do, and it shows!! Continue to do your thing!! I am here for it❣️
Thank you for a great reaction to this song. Go right ahead and react your way, I really enjoy it. These guys are so amazing the way a song is seamless. Southerner in the Snow is really fun. Tim just getting to Minnesota is hilarious. I know the feeling, cause this past year the snow and freeze was a shock for a Southeast Texan to endure, it was torture. Enjoy checking out anything you want.
I definitely saw you in the chat, by the time I was about to say hi, the video already ended. You are probably going to see a lot of us in the live chats. It's always so fun, especially when the home free guys show up 😃
The timing of Adams odd sound... as soon as Rob sang 'I'll lay down the beat' Adan made a sound shook his head and wagged his finger at Rob as if saying 'No you dont'
So glad you got to one of their new video's. I love this type of song. No one is the star. They ALL are. Love having them all take a verse. Just great harmonies. I know you are a big fan of Austin's but to hear Tim, Rob and Chance carry the lead please react to In The Blood. You can hear Austin doing great things in the background.
"Never Gonna Give You Up" the they covered is a Rick Astley cover, not Barry White's. It's good though, but done in pure 80's style. It does have some comedic style to it. Worth checking out. Now this one here is superb!! So smooth and those perfect harmonies that we all love to hear from Home Free! Amazing!! It's been staying stuck in my head!
I love how you refer to Austin as Jesus. Then in this video you get Austin directly in front of the spotlight during his solo looking like the iconic Jesus picture. Everyone in this was on point though! Simply incredible!
I absolutely loved this reaction. I've had this song on loop since it came out. Jumped straight to the top of my favourites. I want to recommend their original (written by Tim): "Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget" Also, not the same "Never Gonna Give You Up"... It's Rick Astley (80s classic) you should definitely do that as a fun song. "My Church" is an incredible cover as well!
I like how the vocals follow the arrangement and video production. Chance sings “no harmony” and Austin comes in with one; Chance sings “no bass” and Tim drops out for a bar. Rob sings about “the beat” and Adam has a special percussion ready; Rob sings about “rolling stone” and the tempo makes the words seem to roll. Austin sings about the “spotlight goes cold” as the shot of his head covers the light. This is so simple a setting, so easy a song and yet all the little things make it soooo good. Thanks for your reaction
This is creeping up my favorites list of theirs. It’s so good. As you say, “stellar”. Yes, sir. I love the lyrics, the harmonies, the room, the lighting. Adam is crazy good. I liked that they all got a chance to sing. So damn good. Great reaction!
Great reaction! I have a suggestion for a HF song I just heard, from 2013. “Joy To the World”, live at the World Hosanna concert. The arrangement is spectacular! Gospel, ‘70’s R&B, and I swear I even a little Cab Calloway in there. Rob takes the lead and his performance blew me away! I’ve held “End of the Road “ as the pinnacle of his performances, but on this song he is unleashed! It’s made me love him even more. You talk about Rob and Gospel…this is a must see/hear. The backup in it is also spectacular.
I love that you called out the R & B vibe. When they were on the Sing Off, Shawn from Boyz to Men (he was a judge that year) said that country was just white man’s R & B.
You don't need to apologize for anything you show your true reaction and I really enjoy that about you , you should check out Die A Happy Man or Catch Me if you Can they aren't as popular as some but they are fire
You really enjoy good music my man!. U should have a listen to tyler childers " nose to the grindstone". And colter wall " the devil wears a suit and tie". Both are amazing vocals.
Yep, had a feelin' you'd dig this one deep. Stellar indeed and yer right, EVERYone was highlighted. And hey, did ya notice it was a continuous one cam shot? Yeah, these guys are extra in every way. Great reaction, lookin' forward to more.
I love this song, are they all singing in the same key, when doing their solos? Anyone? And I love the fact that the video is made in one shot-style. Keep pausing and telling us what y o u hear and feel!
This song has been on repeat for me since it came out lol. Also, look at Elvira or American Pie if you havent done those on your Patreon already. It's fun to see them rearrange old classics with the original artists!
