So, given that this was my first experience with Home Free, I have to admit that this group could finally get me interested in country music! I was VERY impressed!!!

Welcome to the Home Free World! Country, Rock 70s, 80s etc, Rock a Billy, Boy Bands, Religious classics and Home Free originals. Whatever your pleasure Home Free delivers big time!! They NEVER fail to amaze! Some recommendations for a glimpse of their range and talents, "Man of Constant Sorrow", "Bless the Broken Road", "American Pie", "Workin' For A Livin'", "May Day" and "How Great Thou Art". After you've listened to these "Band Of Brothers". Hope you allow Home Free to transport you to a whole new world of musical wonder. It's been a pleasure finding your channel.

Hey Larry, welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole !!! I suggest for your next Home Free reaction that you react to their latest, Brothers in Arms. It will really shpwcase just how talented these fine gentlemen are. Their high tenor is Austin Brown, the regular tenor is Rob Lundquist, their bass is Tim Foust, who has a 5 octave range, their baritone (who also covers bass at times) is Adam Chance Ray (goes by Chance to avoid confusion with the beatboxer who also can sing tenor at times too), and the beat boxer who is Adam Rupp...I really urge you to listen to Brothers in Arms....I think you'll really enjoy it...it's a cover of the Dire Strats song

Home Free's harmonies are amazing. No one is really the lead though they all shine in their own way. And the beatboxer does so many background sounds/instruments that compliment vs overpower the song. Great reaction, thank you Sir.

Welcome to the rabbit hole that is Home Free. You will never be disappointed not matter which song you choose. They call themselves a country vocal band, but they cross over into other genre's as well. You react and the "Home Fries" will follow you en masse! Check out Man of Constant Sorrow for a bigger taste of Mr Rupp's beat boxing skills. He is superhuman!! Great reaction!! Keep Home Free coming!!

welcome to the world of Home Free. Starting with the guy in the white shirt you follow into the barn working clockwise you have Adam Chance referred to as Chance by most fans as there are 2 adams, he is a baratone, black shirt is Adam Rupp, world champion beat boxer extraordinaire, open blue shirt with beard is Rob Lundquist tenor, skinny redhead is Austin Brown lead tenor and last but not least is Tim Faust, bass, has a tendency to blow up amplifiers with sub-harmonics and shake ceiling tiles loose at concerts. These guys are amazing and they have great personality, they like to have fun and it shows in a lot of their videos. Their rabbit hole goes deep.

Home Free literally sings all genres, but they put their own special spin on everything. This one is very popular, but not my favorite... those would be: My Church, Folsom Prison Blues, How Great Thou Art, Man of Constant Sorrow, Helplessly Hoping, Crazy, Brothers in Arms (and many more). A lot of Home Fries are also fans of Voice Play, the third leg of the world class trifecta of a capella (with PTX the other leg).

They really don't like to be compared because they are so different from each other and sometimes can lead to division or discord between some of the fans who do not have good manners. Hey welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole…it’s a fabulous journey I started in April. Home Free calls themselves the BBC only country vocal band, but they truly can do anything. HF loves their reactors and to get a good feel for their abilities and personalities check out Man of Constant Sorrow and their Butts Medley. Their cover of Boyz 2 Men End of the Road is wonderfully done. Mayday is great, but strongly suggest you hold off till you are more familiar with the guys. I’ve never been a big fan of a capella groups until HF, but it makes my day to listen to their music or watch a vid of their concerts…they have great humor and an unbelievable connection with their fans and audiences. I like some of PTX, but can’t really get into their concerts. Really enjoyed your reaction and comments about the techniques they use. Thanks

You will find as you delve deeper into Home Free that a good majority of the Home Fries are also Pentaholics. Both groups bring their own special sauce, so very difficult to choose between the two. Home Free covers many genres and they have both a very serious side as well as just a down home have fun good 'ol boy side. Some suggestions, their cover of Crosby, Stills and Nash's Helplessly Hoping shows off their amazing vocal harmonies (no beatboxing in that one). Their cover of End of the Road by Boyz 2 Men shows they have no problem with R&B. When a Man Loves a Woman highlights Austin's amazing tenor. For their lighter side check out their Butts Remix or All About That Bass. For the more serious side, their recent release of Brothers in Arms has killer harmonies. Probably their best knows covers are Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire (Avi Kaplan from Pentatonix joins them) and Man of Constant Sorrow. Whatever you choose, you can't go wrong. They're great.

I am a Pentaholic and a Home Fry (a Pentafry, if you will). I think of Home Free as the Country/Rock/Gospel/Comedy version of Pentatonix (PTX). They are incredible. I wasn't a fan of Country/Gospel until I started listening to them - they made me like the genre. (Just like Pentatonix does with the songs they cover,) Their beatboxer (and he sings as well), Adam, is.....indescribable. I have no idea who would come out on top between him and Kevin. I would hate to choose. Austin (high, high tenor could give Mitch a run for his money - thought I still think Mitch has a higher, clearer tone and is my favorite, but I could be prejudiced). Rob (other tenor, has a beard) matches Kevin or even Kirstie in tenor/contralto range, Chance and Tim are both basses, but Tim has about a 5+ octave range so he can sing anywhere. He is the one with the low notes to blow out speakers. Chance usually sings baritone, but covers Tim on bass if Tim goes elsewhere. Would say Chance would be like Scott and Tim would be like Matt (PTX new bass post 2017), but Tim has low notes that Matt does not have. If you do Home Free's Ring of Fire, you can hear both Tim and Avi from Pentatonix (bass prior to 2017). Avi is the closest to Tim. Both have LOW notes, but totally different qualities to their sound.

Do be aware that the group was formed quite awhile ago (see the wiki page for details) but hit mainstream listeners when they won 4th season of Sing Off. At that time their baritone was Chris Rupp(brother of Adam Rupp, the beatboxer - co creators of the group.) When he went out on his own and wanted to form another group, Adam Chance joined. Range of all of them is awesome, and if you listen to other of their covers, you will hear the base switch between singers and the "background" swap as well ... Best example of that is American Pie. And if you want some more great harmonies, their cover of Queen's Seven Bridges Road. I'd also suggest, if you have a great sense of humor, including their version of Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer to your 25 days... As well as Do You Hear What I Hear... That shows their range, allowing them, in one verse, to sing that phrase in 4 octaves echoing the lead!! (Plus, the video was done in a cool ice castle!!)

Your selection of "One Man Band" as your first exposure to Home Free is what drew me to try your channel. After your analysis, I hit the "subscribe" button. As you follow us Home Fries down the path, you will discover Home Free to be MUCH more varied in music selection and more interesting in video production. They have a fair amount of Christmas music too. I would suggest that you sub them in for one, or more, of the 25 Days of PTX vacancies. I would also STRONGLY recommend "Beautiful Star of Bethlehem" as one of those sub ins. In that one, their musical predecessors, the Oak Ridge Boys, join them for an incredibly powerful vocal performance. But, as said many times in the comments, you cannot make a bad choice with a Home Free song. Oh, and I have never heard of their stuff being blocked. Anyway, love the channel and I'll be hanging around.

Your reaction to Home Free moving from low expectations to surprisingly impressed was fun to watch. The blocking done by SME (Sony Music Entertainment) is very aggressive - they have even blocked PTX reacting to their own reactions. Sony also consider any and all material produced while under contract with them to be theirs to copyright also. Any of the medley performances by PTX appears to be free of blocking (probably because of the innate feature of being a collection of songs and tunes). Home Free has been independent of labels for over 4 years now, so any material produced by them in the last 4 years won't be as stringently "protected" by labels. Your observation about the beatboxing - as yet, you haven't seen much of the incredible level of skill both Adam and Kevin have - they are both vocal percussionist geniuses in their own rights, as you will find while exploring the rabbit hole you're sliding down.

The Acapella Trifecta is Home Free, Pentatonix and Voice Play. The Bass Trifecta is Tim Foust (HF), Avi Kaplan (formerly of PTX) and Geoff Castellucci (VP). There is a LOT of crossover between fans of all 3, although fans do tend to have a slight preference for one over the others. I'm a solid Home Fry, but I have songs I really love with the other two. Adam Rupp, the beatboxer, is affectionately called a 'Freak of Nature', he's world class for sure.

Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole, Adam Rupp the clean shaven one and dressed in black, is the best boxer, he's awesome and world class, in my opinion none better. The whole group is phenomenal and the best there is. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰. Also you should watch How Great Thou Art, it's awesome and Adam Rupp, the beat boxer sings a bit all by himself, so you can actually hear his beautiful tenor voice. ❤️❤️

Enjoyed your first time reaction to Home Free. Their beat boxer Adam Rupp is one of the best. While most of their music leans country, they do all genres. No matter what they do, their harmonies are great. American Pie featuring Don McLean is a good listen.

Really cool and very unique. “Take That” have been the first boy group ever and we were really addicted to back in the 90s. These guys are more adult and I like the harmony and the kind of appearance.

Adam Rupp is an award winning beat boxer. Most members write music as well as sing. Their harmonies are fantastic. Check out Helplessly Hoping and Brothers in Arms for some pure singing without the beatboxing. This group will have you hooked. Check out their Sing Off journey and compare to their recent material. They have grown so much and continue to grow.

Home Free beatboxer is world-class, he does drum solos at their concerts, and they have plenty of Christmas music. You could say 25 days of Acapela. Also still hoping you will try reacting to The Warning rock band and The Warning Army, they do not have Christmas though still hoping for a double reaction of their Enter Sandman, One in 2014 when they were little tikes with 23millions views and their current Enter Sandman with a collab of pop singer Alessia Cara, (the harmonies are amazing). It has only been out a couple of months and has over a million views.

Yes, his "drumming" is quite different and superior to PTX percussion, but they both have their own flavor :)

Man Of Constant Sorrow is the song that got me hooked on Home Free, it is just outstanding. If you want a Christmas song, may I suggest the HF cover of Do You Hear What I Hear. This song was arranged by the beat boxer Adam Rupp. Get ready to be vocally and visually mind blown. Welcome to Home Free.

It's always interesting to see someone who has never seen or heard Home Free first be impressed then convert to being a Home Fry. If you're doing a Chirstmas song (granted it isn't Pentatonix) Please check out Home Free's "Do You Hear What I Hear" video that they recorded in the Ice Castle at Eden Prairie Minnesota. I've always loved the song, especially the version by Bing Crosby but now Bing takes a second seat to Home Free. Even if you don't have time to do a reaction video on it, watch and enjoy it for yourself. You'll be glad you did. You can't go wrong with any Home Free song.

Thanks for doing this song by Home Free. Glad you've discovered just how great these five men are! They take "country" to a whole different (read "higher") level. Their smooth harmonies are rare, even in a cappella. I could - and often do - listen to them for hours. Other groups, on the other hand, are often so "busy", or as you put it, they "come at you from all sides". Personally, I prefer peace, happiness and harmony, and the Home Free guys have that in spades!

I enjoyed your first reaction to this fine group. If you think the beatboxer does good with the drums you should hear him playing the harmonica... without the harmonica. That would be in Man of Constant Sorrow. You'll also get to hear more of Tim Foust's base rumble. He was singing fairly high in this one so you didn't get to hear him where he really shines.

@@larryshair New sub! Man of Constant is wonderful, but if you want more harmonica without the harmonica you’ve got to check out Workin’ for a Living. I’ve never heard a better Take Me Home Country Roads - they spent 5 years perfecting their arrangement and it shows. And their best all vocal might just be one of their latest, Brothers in Arms. The rabbit hole is deep, their catalogue covers many genres and they range from silly to serious and everything in between. Looking forward to following along with your journey. You will not be disappointed.

Welcome! More Home Free... You will be amazed at the loyalty of the Home Free fans. Home Free call themselves a "country vocal band" but Home Free does every genre you can think of.. and they do them all perfectly. Just close your eyes and pick any song.. Keith Urban' s Motowny "Blue Aint Your Color" , John Mayers "In The Blood" Ed Sheeran's "Castle on the Hill" .. they have collaborated with many stars.. Charlie Daniels, Kenny Rogers, Don McLean, Lee Greenwood... the Oak Ridge Boys and Alabama! Adam Rupp the beatboxer arranged one of my favorites.. "Do You Hear What I Hear" they cover "O Holy Night.". and for New Years, "Auld Lang Syne." Thanks for doing your reactions! Stay safe and have a happy Holiday! .

An oldie but really awesome with Adam Rupp's insane beatboxing is Country Fried Medley.. Tim Foust, the super bass has played around with not only his appearance, but his vocal ranges.. he sings an amazing tenor, too. Watch Avi Kaplan as a guest with Home Free on Ring Of Fire.. Tim sings the final note.. Avi is amazing.. they all are..

Man of Constant Sorrow Down to the HonkyTonk Meet in the Middle Sea Shanty Medley All About That Bass Butts Remix ...and um... yeah everything else they do.
