Hey ! These videos are extremely informative. As a building engineering student it really helps me visualize the professionalism needed in the quality of work. Thanks for the great videos keep up the good work ! This channel will blow up very soon.
No such thing as "too picky"...I've made the mistake of using the inspector that the realtor suggested (no, no, no). These people depend on the realtor for most of their work. Consequently, they do surface inspections only and make sure they don't find too many faults for fear that they get a reputation for being too thorough and for spoiling sales. From what I've seen, you are beholden to the buyer and do a meticulous job. Thanks for sharing your work with us. Please go back to previous format.
The starting card on the video does point out that he doesn't always have time to film commentary on most of his inspections. So the vertical format likely comes from him not really having the time to take care with holding his phone horizontally. It's easy to think that it's so simple to just turn the phone sideways, but when you're in a rush, the fastest way to hold your phone for a quick snap is vertical. Takes no thought to do it. 'Course it could also be that all of this stuff is typically posted to his new Instagram first, and I'm no Instagram user, but I bet Instagram favors vertical format pictures and videos since it's a mobile app first and web/desktop app second.
