I am considering doing that, especially if I ever have a need to cut really long beams. It can cut 24’ long now. If I did that I could get it up to almost 40’
Nice clean job regardless:) If mine comes out half as nice I'll consider it a victory:) I'm headed to look at a 25hp diesel twin here shortly. Did you say you're using a inch and a quarter blade? How much time were you getting out of them? Still pulling or did you put a feed on it?
I’m using an 1.5” wide .55 thick 158” long blade from woodmizer. The first one I had came off after about an hour of running because of blade guide issues and broke a few teeth off. After fixing the blade guide I put a new blade on it and it’s still cutting good after a little over 7 hours of sawing power line poles
Thank you. The blade was loose caused by a bolt that came loose on the blade guide. And I have since put guards on it. You can see them in the third vid. And thanks for any info or ideas. I’m very new to sawmills
