It’s been a while. For the last seven months I’ve been working with @eifministries to create The South LA Recap’s longest piece yet: Home of the FaithDome, a 53-minute look on how Crenshaw Christian Center built a 10,000 seat FaithDome on the former site of Pepperdine College in South Los Angeles.
Over the length of this project, I’ve sifted through thousands of newspaper articles, reviewed hundreds of photos and videos from the @eifministries archives, and spoke with a handful of members from the Price family to capture a well-rounded look of how Apostle Frederick K. Price turned a 12-member church into what was the largest Black church congregations on the West Coast at one time. This documentary also explores the impact of this contribution, and what lies in store for Crenshaw Christian Center in South Los Angeles.
