Hey Friends!
In today's video I share a review of the curriculum we used for
Art and artist study, Music and composer study and poem and poetry study. I modified this program to meet our needs and used this as a group to teach all three of my kids (grades K-3) at the same time, in fact the only subjects I teach my kiddos on a "grade" specific manner are Language Arts, Reading, Writing and Math. First grade is so great also! I’m planning a video for it. We decided to use it this year again after Using something else for a bit.

I have never seen the Katie books! I love it! I've been wanting to gently introduce some art/artist study and that seems like a really fun resource to do that.😀

I have never heard of the Katie books before. I will have to remember those! Have you looked at the Simply Charlotte Mason enrichment? Those are great too.

We used SCM this past year. I didn’t make a video about it though. Ultimately we went back to MP enrichment for grade 1 and used it more thoroughly then the first go around in K.

Is there any reason why the music enrichment book couldn't be used for kids older than 2nd grade?? I wondered why it was listed for k-2

I think you can certainly use it for older kids. This is part of Memoria Press classical core curriculum and they assign grade levels but for sure I'd use this at any point, just something to keep in mind is that the poetry is more simple and the suggested reading is picture books. Oops I misread your question:/ I'm not sure about the music enrichment either-wonder if it's because they use other material for enrichment in the upper levels??
