Thanks for sharing that. Interesting approach to acoustic treatment just building out whole sections of wall and ceiling as acoustic panels. Is it really dead in those areas? I recently did a soundproofing project on a granny flat (backyard flat) here in Australia. I used similar isolation techniques but with furring channel and isolation clips and a single layer of drywall. Turned out pretty good. Nice preamp collection.

I've never seen those acoustic blocks before are those home made? How do they handle pull stress from a double layer drywall? We usually use an acoustic caulk around the edges not sure what your crew used since they wanted to make it sound like it's some trade secret.

I can’t remember where they got the blocks from but they’re def not homemade. At 5:00 they talk about using acoustic caulk.

They’re these cool brackets that the guys at Custom Vintage Keys in Burbank make that can hold a pedalboard or another keyboard on top of the Rhodes without putting any weight on the plastic covering.

Ha! Thanks! No, haven’t been scalded. I’m more careful with instruments that aren’t mine, but there seems to be a sign on every Kelon barred xylophone in band rooms across America that reads “This is NOT a table.”
