Very very nice setup cannot wait tell I upgrade my avr to run a 7.2.4 but right now I’m just running a 7.2 which is wayyy better then your basic 5.2 or 5.1.2
Nice set up, I just discovered your channel. The star wars stuff mainly caught my eye, I'm big fan of that series. I just started collecting movies in 2021 as my COVID hobby since I can no longer go to theaters as much as I used too. Star wars is my first set of movies I bought.
Awesome theater/media room, the stuff of dreams for most, congrats!!! My only question, given that horizontal center speakers are usually a compromise for placing a speaker under a TV, an issue you don't have given that yours is placed behind a screen, how come you chose that instead of a vertical designed center speaker?
I loved the set up and I loved how you had all of your peripheral equipment in other rooms. I had on question about your gaming/work room though. When you sit down to do work in that room do you rest the keyboard on your lap or was there something else in that room that provides the ergonomic support needed for a long work binge?
I've tried several things over the years and find just putting the keyboard on my lap is ideal and most comfortable when not sitting at a proper workstation. Unlike a laptop, keyboards are light and generate no heat so it's good for me.
I LOVE YOUR MOVIE ROOM ...FREAKING!!!!!AMAZING!!!!! I HAVE SOME OF THE STAR WARS STUFF YOU GOT AND ALL THE MOVIES IN MY SECOND CINEMA , ESPECIALLY THE CP3O next to a large BB-8 ,BUT STILL GOT TO GET THAT R2D2. LOVE IT. VERY NICE JOB IN THAT ROOM . LOOKS COMFTY AS HELL🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 KIND LIKE MINE
You are absolutely right about that. It slipped through and I regretted missing that info after the video had already posted. I had several versions of the video edited and this final one is when I forgot to add it!
Mancave Central I have a home theater 500 watts monolith M-10 V2 subwoofer I have learn that the maximum watts my 5 inch bookshelf speakers should have when using the monolith M-10 V2 subwoofer is 5 watts yeah your klipsch subwoofer seems inadequate and my 5 inch bookshelf speakers can overpower my subwoofer even though it just has 5 watts so this means your front speakers is extremely excessive
Very nice setup , can you explain how you mount your rear surround sound speakers? What kind of mount is used? I have same speakers but can’t find the right mount to mount at ear level and at degree
Love the room(s). I'm a studio guitarist so I love good audio. But I love horror. I've met a bunch of horror icons. Robert England(Freddy), Sid Haig, Tony Todd(Candyman), Clive Barker, Bill Moseley, William Katt (Carrie/House), Kane Hodder(Jason/Hatchet), Derek Mears(Jason), John Carpenter, Rutger Hauer, Rick Baker, Dee Wallace, PJ Soles(OG HAlloween), Nancy Loomis(OG Halloween), Linda Blair(Exorcist), Brad Dourif (Chucky) and a bunch of other people. Oh, and Prowse that was Vader. I build my own guitars and tube amps. I am about to start designing a personal theater/studio so this was some nice inspiration. There is a guy an hour from me that had a home designed like the exterior of the Meyer house from Halloween. They will show movies during Halloween. Thanks for sharing your hard work and happy home.
About 4 foot, no strain or discomfort. I know it's too close for a lot of people but I've been doing weird shit for a long time and it's normal for me.
i got separate soundtown voice speakers with dedicated yamaha amp and Technics DSP kareoke processor with tone and echo and equalizer and key controls just for singing . I use the main cinema speakers to play the kareoke audio and the voice is separated from that system to the dedicated voice speakers.
What size is your actual theater room size. Drawing plans now for my retirement home and unable to have a basement. No basements in Tennessee. I’m currently in NY
The room is roughly 20'x14'. My ideal space for a home theater based on my own "rules" was larger, closer to 24'x17'x9' but I had to compromise based on the house we ended up building. I have a full dimensioned floor plan of the entire basement build in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EHkg-GyijTU.html
@@MancaveCentral1 thanks. Are you on any other social media. IG, FB? Right now my media room I have as 15x17 so might have to bump out. What’s the smallest you think I can go just in theater. I’m looking to just do two rows of seating. 3 seats per row
Lengthwise, the room should be rectangular, not square, which you have but not by much. Your 15x17 room is probably ok for the width of the room and three seats but two rows at 17' length might be the dictating factor on how big your screen will be. I suggest you consult with the AVS Forum or some other website where you will get a wealth of responses and ideas more interactively than here. I'm certain you can get away with a compact movie room with a ceiling mounted projector and in-wall speakers on the sides and rear. Your screen size will suffer unless you go acoustically transparent, then you can fill the entire wall. One thing to remember is back row height is critical. If the screen is too low to the ground, the back row will not see over the front row. I built 12" risers and designed it all in CAD to ensure all the viewing distances and angles would work. Try to think 3-dimensionally when designing the space, it's more than how it looks sketched on a piece of paper looking down at it. Good luck.
@@MancaveCentral1 thanks bud. My son has CAD so I’ll have him design something for me. I think I’ll be bumping room out to 21 x 17 to have 11 x 17 just for theater space and have 10 X 17 just for my toys and games. So thinking of bumping out exterior wall another 5 feet and pretty much devise room in half. Thanks for input I will keep you updated. Thanks for your feedback
Toys and games? Are you building a home theater or a family room? There's a lot to know about the endgame when it comes to building a home theater. If you missed it, see what I mean with my mancave or batcave video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EuwofS6bfF8.html
I’m confused. I clicked on the receiver link and it’s a 9.2. But I swear I counted 11 speakers plus the 2 subs. How did you get the additional speakers on a 9.2? Right now I’m running a 9.2 receiver.
I have the entire floor plan with dimension in first couple minutes of my star ceiling video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EHkg-GyijTU.html
There is no one single movie. Every week there is a new great experience. As stupid as this sounds, the recent Texas Chainsaw Massacre on Netflix had excellent height effects.
I got my share of figures in my second cinema like the Falcon real replica and a 3d picture of it. As i got 3D viewing in my main cinema. And large and small replicas of Darth Vader, KYLO REN ,Sitth Red Trooper , Boba Fet , ect. Plus got some horror figures like texas chainsaw massacre and the mummy and other colectibles figures like planet of the apes, south, Tranzor Z , Thunder cats, master of the universe, back to the future, the EXORCIST, ect. 🤣🤣🤣
Neither system is on for very long so no, the electric bill is not higher than what an ordinary living room media system would be at any given time. In fact, with no kids in the house to drain the power grid I bet my bill is lower than most 3-4 member households with no home theater at all.
PLEX is KING my friend 🤘🏻 amazing work and beautiful theater. If you ever wanna share PLEX libraries with each other send me a message, I currently have a 23 TB PLEX library, I’d be happy to share.
