@@honinakecheta601I am curious though, did he ACTUALLY assault her or was Becca too scared to say no? Cause the way homelander talked about it in season 1 implied that homelander did it with becca without assault.
@@zen4ever3 do you seriously believe homelander over her???? Just because he did not violently attack her doesn’t make it any less rape, if she felt like she couldn’t say no or was too afraid to refuse that is rape. There is something called “sexual coercion” and it counts as sexual assault.
@@zen4ever3Wouldn't it count as assault or rape either way? Pretty sure Homelander isn't dumb enough to not notice when someone is too scared to be honest with him, in fact thats exactly what he tries to do with anyone who opposes or can oppose his demands, intimidating them into submission, so technically either Homelander used physical force to assault her or intimidated her into letting him do as he pleases, or, if we really try to give Homelander what little leeway we can, its also possible he didn't mean to intimidate her (at least not to assault her) at first but he noticed she's scared and conciously decided to use that to take advantage of her. However you cut it, its rape. As long as you do it without their concious, willing, fully aware, actual consent, its molestation, sexual assault or rape, no matter how violent or forceful it was. Drugging someone to "get" their consent or bypass it is still rape, fooling or tricking someone into sex is rape too, taking advantage of a person in sleep also counts, and those aren't really violent or forceful approaches. Sexual coercion comes into such "It wasn't much violent but it was rape" category. I thought people had this basic knowledge... smh. Seriously where the fuck did you get your sex ed? Man, You just can't spin such a disgusting act into something forgivable for homelander, Dunno what you're tryna prove then... and on a side note, you seriously trusting Homelander on his words? _Homelander?!_
@@MixedBy5STAR I know his comic book version is still worse as he did stuff like r4p1ng starlight and is more of a degenerate and racist in general, but they are getting close in how he despises normal humans and even other supes. Also keep in mind I said "not that far off", I didn't say they were the same read carefully next time.
2:01 I like how this is a massive indication that Homelander is so much closer to finally snapping just from the laugh alone, but the dialogue after that snicker was the much more BIGGER reminder that this guy is gonna finally snap. Its just a matter of time whether he snaps this season or next. But one things for certain, we're in the final stages now, and Homelander is a ticking time-bomb, ready to explode. Only thing us, we all know he will, but who will die at the hands of him? Only time will tell.
Yeah, he is litterally shaking with restrained rage. In prior seasons his mood and tone would change but here he is unraveling from any and all kind of push back.
I think he's trying to scare Neuman by acting more unhinged than he actually is, because when he realizes she's not scared his smile drops and he seems embarassed
And immediately took a hard left into "Remember, humans are toys, play with them, throw em out once you're done" Don't you just love it when a father tells thes child to treat everyone around them like their personal toys made to amuse them? What a wholesome, sweet father...
One thing that is a parent is that mother's milk should have seen this 1 coming. That's why you tried to set up a perimeter, which Butcher was good at, probably set up a rooftop surveillance. When you're dealing with supes, you have to have all your exits covered
Yep. The agents should have been stood outside, Frenchie and Kimiko should have had a cleaning cart or something. Starlight should have been outside and ready in case they did need to jump out. Butcher would have thought about all that.
I agree. Butcher is much more intelligent and his presence commanded respect. The only reason MM was in charge is because Grace was resentful at Billy.
0:31 what’s interesting is while Ryan certainly does disagree with his dad on a lot of thing (wanting to still be with butcher ) he does seem semi accepting of his god philosophy
Personally I thought that was like where a kid acts like they're agreeing with their strict parent even tho they disagree to avoid awakening the parent's wrath and sometimes... _the belt_ (jk about the last part... haha...)
She's not judging him for murder, she's judging him for getting in trouble. He's less politically useful now he's on trial for murder. It's an optics issue, not a morality issue. Neumann doesn't operate on morality, as we know. She's a pragmatist.
I haven't watched any of season 4, and i probably won't get around to it. But i have to ask... Who the fck is deranged enough to put Homelander on trial for anything? If you so much as sneeze the wrong way there's a chance he'll kill you and everyone you care about. What if he just refuses the charges, would they actually try to handcuff him?
@@Da1337Manyeah, the whole trial thing felt forced. Butcher said it way back in season 1 that Homelander would likely destroy the world before stepping foot inside a prison. Which makes me wonder, what would he have done if the judge declared him guilty? Would he have simply flown away? Or would he have massacred the judges, the jury, and burned down the entire courthouse?
@@JoelKellenProductions I'm actually quite surprised he hasn't gotten bored yet. Like, mind numbing levels of boredom. I could see him going to prison then, simply because the inmates could entertain him for a little while. It's something he hasn't seen before. He already behaves like a child with the constant need for love and attention, and children also tend to get bored very quickly before they move on, looking for new stimulation.
Yea, don't you just love it when your dad casually jokes in front of your friend's mom (in a crowded party no less) about the possibility of you having unprotected sex with said friend and causing a teenage pregnancy right as you're going with her alone? Man, I remember when my dad did that, it was fuckin hilarious XD
Man, I was so happy to see Neuman not want anything to do with Homelander. I actually like Neuman and outside her murdering childhood friends to keep a sceret, I don’t know what’s inherently bad about her, cause it doesn’t even seem like she has Vought’s best interests at heart either…
Dude, you have some very strange morals if you think she is any better than Homelander. I would go so far as to say they are both two sides of the same coin.
@@Billy-bc8pk Ok, How many times has Butcher and The Boys violently murder someone? Am I saying that makes her good? No, she’s clearly evil. But in the choice of Neuman running America and Homelander running America, not exactly a close race.
Here's the thing. If you don't know Vicky is a super you are safe. If you do know you can then be in danger! So for example if you were dropped in a room with HL and Vicky you would have better survival chances against Vicky because you won't be showing any signs of knowing what she could do. Also the fact that she doesn't have super hearing meaning she can't tell if you accidentally lie@@Skowl3883
One thing I've always hated is how they always expose Homelander but it doesn't mean shit 1 episode later. He's been exposed like 5 times and every single time it amounts to nothing
How does her willingness for murder relate to Homelander's shitty dad jokes? According to your logic, making any kind of crude joke in public on someone is fine if they commited or are ready to commit murder? How does that even make sense?
It was metal. The writers are rewriting it, because as per the rules of the show, there’s a high chance no one except for Homelander knew if Ryan had powers, given no other child of supes got their abilities naturally, and in real life, metal objects are capable of causing serious injury. Combining all that logic, the person who threw the can at Ryan was careless because he most likely didn’t even know Ryan had powers and could have caused a concussion.
Personally, I don't care much. I feel saddened that she had to do plastic surgery but whoever is running the show made up for it somehow. She still looks rather attractive.
Are you shitting me ? That's why her face was bothering me so much. I was like why one part of her nose is big and other small. I thought all 3 season are like that and i didn't notice. She looks so bad now.
This show is creepy, brilliant, and appropriate for our time. That comment to his son as they left kind of gut punched me, both for how gross and close to recent events it was.
0:55 Holy Moly, Erin Moriarty is slowly turning into female version of Ed Harris. I guess the big reveal in this season is gonna be that Man in Black was Starlight all along.
@@johnassimakopoulos8954 it's so sad. She was perfectly fine and beautiful before. Now she's butchered her face with tons of surgery and looks like she's half plastic. 😢
I'm so sad at what Erin Moriarty has done to her face. She was so naturally pretty before, and now she looks creepy and fifty percent plastic. I really hope she wants to look this way and wasn't pressured into changing her face for Hollywood. Because at the end of the day she may look how she chooses. But somehow I susoect that's the case and she was pressured into mangling herself forever.
Don’t really know what they want from homelander. They give him enough screen time to be the main character, certainly more interesting than everyone outside of Butcher. But then they give him some cornball dialogue. Like him and Ryan in synch saying “they are just toys for our amusement” I mean we got 3 seasons fleshing out his mental decline. Let’s take another angle. I mean four seasons and we see him once in another outfit. He’s skinny right? The uniform is a buff suit in universe too? They haven’t fleshed that out enough to be super clear. You want to convince me he’s the greatest threat? Either use him more sparingly or when you do use him shake it up from just showing him being a weak cry baby. It’s going to make his downfall very uncathartic when he’s a sniveling baby crying and he just rolls over and dies I feel like we barely know him, which in some ways plays to the mystery but in other ways feels like it’s because there’s nothing else to him. “Yeah but that’s the point!” Oh well you have the most powerful man on earth you suck the fun out of it well then that’s what you get.
Think were about to get that in ep 4 , hes gonna try to retake control of his past , prob we gonna grt a much more murderous homelander in the next episodes
I'm done with this show. Seriously fn waste of time with previous seasons. Can't wait for new Reacher. Ps. You're down there with Marvel guys. What a disgrace.
Homelander, soldier boy and butcher (with his temp v) are in the same class for abilities and durability imo. So I don't think victoria can pop up their heads.
@@liamlvp3886 Only Soldier boy and Homelander has high durability not butcher...Even with temp v butcher can't match the level of Soldier boy and Homelander
