The beautiful capital city of Wellington was named twice consecutively in 2017 and 2018 by Deutsche Bank as “The World’s Most Liveable City”. But I raise this data because I want to challenge our superiority, you don’t have to seek far to find people battling issues such as homelessness. Youth homelessness increased by 30% in New Zealand between 2006 and 2018 and Family homelessness in New Zealand increased by 44% representing nearly 21800 individuals in 2013. But the New Zealand Homelessness Crisis is a suppressed issue and my hopes for this video and my hopes are that this video translates to a shift in mindset of you and I, the ones who’ve failed these faces everyday.

That was really good dude, it's a pretty scary thought being homeless. I live in a caravan in a campground and at anytime I could be asked to leave. Keep shining a light on these tough issues.

Huh? Most New Zealand campgrounds you pay a fee to stay at and in freedom campsites you have a limited stay times for a reason. So saying you could be kicked out at any time is only true if your breaking the rules like a common thug. A tax paying NZ citizen should be paying the correct fees etc in order to chip in and protect the country. If not go sleep on a park bench!

@@rohanplantboyjames6812 campgrounds kick people out at times in the year where festivals and events have been booked previously, some campgrounds rent their entire facility out to individual groups like Christian camps etc... during the earthquakes we stayed in a few around chch and yea they kicked all their tenants out all the time, they have reservations all year round.

This is awesome to see and thank u for bringing it up as it’s still the same even 20 years on I grew up in the system and when I was old enough to b kicked out I went through these same struggles as many others I knew at the time and some wore some of the best ppl I meet and it’s sad it’s still hasn’t changed

A society should be judged upon how it treats its most vulnerable . not its wealth and GDP What is becoming of our societies , who and what are we voting for . The gap between the haves and have nots just keeps getting wider , the rich are getting richer , keep the poor and vulnerable out of the pitcher Its fine let them have ten houses and screw the poor for rent so they can buy another yacht or house to marginalise more people and put them out on the streets More power to you and all who care about how our societies are becoming more and more like USA every day . Good doc. But being real..Realistically a working economy works because the city works as a comunity village as a whole. If your fit and able to work to get a part time job wage and contribute to the security surrounded in then afford things you want as the community helps Lots of Dylan lyrics goin on but still working making this. There are so many outfits to help people but most want help and some choose the lifestyle they live. I've been on the ground and have helped as I've progressed..people are people. Can't help those that refuse to be helped. Such is life.

I wouldn’t change if I had a million dollars.. we can only help who want to be helped. Magic can do a lot more with his day but he chose to sit there shaking a cup while smoking a vape. There are people who really need a hand don’t get me wrong but sympathy should be managed just like anything else

Worlds most livable city Wellington NZ ? Wrong, Melbourne voted worlds most livable city 7 years in succession, and then came 2nd in eighth year. And did not need a phoney video like this to convince the world of the so called fact. Never has Wellington ever been voted as worlds most livable city.

There are a lot of requirements and with the stuff that we deal with on the streets and in personal life, it gets really stressful so I now get my happiness from drugs and I have 2 full time jobs. I spend all my money on drugs cause I’m so stressed. Tried to get mental health help but they turned me away because I do drugs. Could go to rehab but like I said I only get happiness from crack and am anxiety free with weed. The problem isn’t the drug. The problem is how the world treat me and not being able to handle it because it’s a lot.
