Thank you for your informative video's! I' ve been planning to make a bga rework machine for a while and finally started building one. I tried to power it on today and I noticed that the bottom heater was not working. After further investigation I saw that pins 4 and 5 (+ and -) on the PC100 where swapped in your drawing. Or maybe I have another version of PC100 device. Anyway the bottomheater is working now.

Hi good to hear that it is working for you. There are a lot of not original PC100 devices, the one i used it not original maybe that is the problem always check the datasheet of the device. Thank you for watching. Gr. Jim

Hi, for the Nintendo switch a small pre-heater and hotair is enough because the Nintendo Switch PCB boards are thin. To use this station would be overkill :) Gr. Jim

Even at 235C I can’t get the BGA to flow. Trying to remove an RSX on a ps3.

Hi then the board is not at that reflow temperature 235 with hotair usually give a much lower temperature on the board you have to rise the temp of the hotair to 350 a 400 degrees. With a IR rework station the temperature is more consistant with the temperature that you want. Key is measuring the board temperature. Gr. Jim

Hi, I have a purchased IR 6500 a long time ago, how would you proceed with the conversions to upgrade the existing station? I wanted to buy the holders for the K-Couplers, maybe also new bottom heater heating plates. Would you have a link to the plates? Is there anything else you would change? But first I would start with the step-by-step calibration. It's really great to see that you can build a station like this yourself. Greetings Tobi
