Hi Elly, thank you for this great recipe. I'm living in Greece and we started producing olive oil three years ago. I once prepared a pure olive soap and found out that it's really easy - not rocket science at all. In my garden there's a lot of aloe vera growing wild and I'll certainly give your recipe a try. A very warm greeting to Down Under! I used to travel your country in my twenties and I loved it! Kali spera from Hellas, Claudia

Hello Elly. This was a wonderful video, as always. I have a nice plump aloe vera (have made cold process aloe vera twice previously and love it) but after watching this am going to tackle your aloe hot process method - you made it look SO EASY! I have only ever made a hot process once before, using your carrot recipe when I was fairly new to soap making over 2 years ago. At the time I was a bit clueless and decided hot process wasn't really my forte because my soap was quite lumpy and difficult to get in the mould as it was drying on me so fast. Now I am going to have another crack at it! 🤞Thanks Elly 🐾🥰

Ooh, I'm excited for your Marion!! Have fun with this. I'm pretty sure my water amount was higher in this recipe than the carrot one. You can always add a tad more water if you think it's getting dry. Spritzing with a spray bottle is great too :)

thank you so very much for introducing people to aloe vera.. And I'm going to try making this soap. About thirty years ago I was severely burned after falling asleep under a sunlamp. I had such a bad burn they could not put a number to it. You could actually see my cheekbone... I fasted for 2 weeks only ate green food, mostly broccoli, drank Aloe Juice, and applied the Aloe Gel to my face... Layer upon layer.. As one layer of aloe dried I applied another and repeated this process over and over till a scab like covering was built up .Aloe vera is like a magnet to extracting toxins/ inflammation. After two weeks when my face looked a crispy apple turn over pastry , I slowly peeled back the dead skin and much to my gratefulness to God Almighty there was not a mark on my face. no scars not a mark! I am now using aloe vera to remove the swelling in the gut... No longer have gas bloating stomach and abdomen... I use it as a foundation before I put on makeup as well. This lady has brought us a great gift. I hope many of you see and use this gift

Hello Elly! Forgive me my comment, please. I'm sure that this soap is going to be amazing. However, I have two questions: 1. Will that soap produce some foam? 2. Since it has lots of olive oil in, wouldn't it be slushy and softened very quickly? 🤔 Thank you in advance! 💕 ⚘️
@SgtDuster
@SgtDuster 10 месяцев назад
I didn't make this soap myself but from the recipe: 1. This soap will produce a good creamy lather, no worry. But you can add a little bit of castor oil if you want bigger bubbles but take that into account when calculating your lye. 2. Olive oil is the only liquid fat (at room temp) that becomes really hard once saponified. So no worry there too. And the amount of coco oil and cocoa butter is right on anyway, no matter what kind of liquid oils this recipe uses. But like any handmade soap without hardener, don't let these soaps float into water, use a rack and let them dry between each use.

Wow-beautiful aloe plant. I have one that is half that size in a container (I live where fall and winter is too cold for aloe to year round outside.) But it’s making lots of pups. Thank you for showing us how to make soap. I am a little nervous about working with lye. But this looks like something not too difficult. Melody B in NC (USA).
