Ludic science:- Excellent of you to give this presentation on Aluminum Air battery with very simplicity, as of trend Alu-Air battery all are curious about the construction, chemical reaction, the assembly, the results, awesome of you cleared all things in details, quality teachings, look forward to your further more videos on any improved versions, thanks.👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
If you want aluminum air then mix some graphite and a little iron oxide with the cathode paste and use an iron mesh to hold it with. Also if you use sodium bicarbonate mixed with NaOH it will work a bit better.
Another wonderful video. Thank you! It would be great to see how long this battery lasts and if it would be possible to get something that last as long as a D battery.
sometimes I squeeze a bit of the flat lithium battery with plyers to get more of a charge when its empty. Just a little squeeze. why does it work? I dont know exactly but maybe it looses the oxides to make more contact?
Here's the thing...I see may channels doing these "hobby" cells and that's great. Truly, no kidding and very impressive. But for many of us, to take this seriously for DIYers, it would be nice is someone took this to the next level and made a car or marine battery equivalent, that could be rechargeable. Yes, it may mean you're making less videos, but the first person that does this will have "Ryan's World" type of viewership, where children keep re-watching the videos and it would be world wide. Again, I really appreciate the video but it would be great to see some real home version alternatives being made. Cheers.
6:32, How you can have anode and cathode in positive polarity ? Why you dont have the Na+ ions from NaOH ? Al +NaOH reaction is : 2Al + 2NaOH + 6H2O = 2Na[Al(OH)4] + 3H2 . Al(OH)3 is the most stable compound of Al and dont solve in water ( no positive Al ions ). O2 + 2H2O = 2H2O2 or 2H2O2 = 2H2O +O2 ?
