Great job 👍. I’m too old to camp now , but it several years ago, I tool a small galvanized boat trailer built 18in. walls, put an aluminum camper shell with a piano hinge to raise it. I went solo from La. To Tombstone then on to Deadwood. Best trip ever. Enjoy while you’re young.
very nice build. I bought the same type mattress it came rolled up put it in place and opened it up, its the easiest way to get in the camper. also you can never have to many out side hooks .
What a great setup you've created - the hinged grill and instant canopy - uber awesome and you'll never regret all the epic trips taken in your own hand-built camper! Thanks for sharing.
Reminds me a lot of my trailer. Started with an M101 ¾ ton military trailer (smaller than this one) and threw a full-size truck cap on it. Kitted it out for multi month long trips.
8 minutes was not enough, I would have loved to see the project build from start to finish. I have a Stock Trailer about which, I will do something similar albeit, for an all year round trailer will require insulation and a wood burning stove. Good video, just could've done with more information.
M105a2 DIY Camper that’s so awesome, really make me happy! We are actually on our third cross country trip right now... we are driving through the night tonight but once we get settled in somewhere with a good signal I’m going to check out your videos...
Thanks for an enjoyable video. The simple design is refreshing to see something affordable. I would love to see the upcoming road trip and similar topics in the future.
Gary Grow the road trip video is up, unfortunately Craig is the one good with the camera. My footage was all but unusable LOL. We tried to make the best of it though, check out parts one and two of the road trip
i’m making something exactly like this, and this guys build looks so functionally incredible. i sincerely hope you can get him to do an in depth video.
Fantastic! Sweet and simple. Love all the "perks" and yet was not complicated. I live full time in a tiny home 96sf (no loft) and it's too large. I want to down size even more, so this video really gave me some wonderful ideas. Thank you both so much.
What a lovely family man. Those kids will have so much fun and memories to tell their own kids about. Love the simplicity of his trailer...lots of useful ideas. Thanks so much for sharing.
I'm looking at doing a small trailer for behind a motorcycle. Hard side, pop up, and less than 350 pounds loaded. No pressure. Seeing the ingenuity here helps me stay focused. Thanks.
I think it’s so cool that you travelled across the country in it! We are going to do the same in ours in February 2023. We’ve taken a lot of long weekend trips but nothing out of state. We can’t wait!
awsome awsome awsome!!!!!!! Just saw it. I was in the Army for 15 years and on long deployments I would set up this type of trailer to sleep in, even in desert storm! Had so many ideas for using this trailer with a duce n' half. I was'nt able to do it, ( was injured to the point to give up my career) never the less so so cool!
That is more awesome than you realise. Been toying with getting a camper for a while but don’t wanna give up my 4x4. Your trailers inspired me. More vids please. Cheers.
I happened upon your video and it has given me some ideas. I am in the process of enclosing a 5 by 10 utility trailer for off grid camping. I have "saved " your video for future reference. Thank you! !!
I just came across this video, and loved it❤it reminds me of a memory of having to sleep in the back of my dads truck, he had a shell on the back, when we lived in Alaska. We were tent camping. It rained so hard. We had alot of fun, it was great living there.
Wonderful ❣️ I would stand in the yard and wait on my daddy to get off work on Fridays to go to the camp. I absolutely love what u have created. And the love u have for your family and for camping is wonderful.Enjoy.
I stand here thinking about making a self-made pop up trailer for my sewing business. It has to be lightweight enough that my 2004 Buick Rendezvous can pull behind it. Please keep up with the good work and the ideas
It's a good thing that the owner got rid of those 2 1/2 Ton axle and rims. Those split-ring style rims are very dangerous and can kill a person if they are not properly handled with precaution. That's a cool setup. I really his creative touch like the sun canopy.
Andrew Lewis , I’m thinking the same thing about how it doesn’t leak water in as it’s only tongue & groove timber. He must have sealed it with silicon or something similar.
You’re from New Hampshire guy?! Yes! We so have to talk. Will be picking up a cargo trailer from NH Proline to convert for full-time, love your DIY Overland ideas!
Yeah, this is super cool. I have a M105 that I'm looking for ideas for. That ladder idea... Genius!! I would really like to hear more about your axle swap.
that's awsome , I love the creative ideas an the fact you built it yourself, I really appreciate all the effort you put in it an not just go out an buy a small camper
