Great espresso without any equipment! No machine or fancy kitchen tools required. You promise already have all you need to make one at home. Full Recipe and instructions found here: www.dairyfreeg...
Who knew that after pouring the water over the coffee, you leave it to steep & then stir it. Now my coffees taste so much better. I always used to stir it straight away, thus ruining the taste of my Americanos.
I was watching a video on how to use the moka pot and the Italian lady said that once the coffee machine has made it you must stir it before pouring. Apparently the first bit is much stronger. So you blend it with the last bit
The foam is the coffee bloom. You are extracting all the amazing oils of the bean without being robbed by the paper filter. And yes anything after 3 minutes it does get bitter. I have also experimented for 2 years or more making coffee all different ways without a coffee maker. Also read up on the subject extensively. I've put coffee and brown sugar in a handkerchief and steeped it all around comes out amazing! I've thrown the grounds right into the hot water off boil of course and then strained it off. One can learn a lot through experimentation.
Ahh coffee bloom ❤️. I’d never thought of the oils that are lost through a paper filter. Yes 3 minutes seems to be the point of bitterness. It’s neat what you can learn through experimentation. Do you ever use a moka pot?
@@Dairyfreeginger I experiment a lot. The oils are essential. But so finicky. Because I think the old oil goes a little rancid. So it's a constant juggle with time. Everything is a bit ephemeral. The golidocks thing Like stewed tea after 6 minutes Tea water must be 100 percent hot. Coffee 97 percent.
Great suggestions. I love my espresso and when I travel I miss my caffetiera. Perfect timing as I am leaving this weekend and I cannot bring my machine
I just wanted to say you are super nice to people who give snive comments. Not sure if you are a Christian but you sure are nice. That one putz who basically was telling you what to do… telling you to stop this and get a machine of some kind….. well, I am a Christian and I’d want to tell him to take a hike 😄😂 I’m not as patient as you😁😎😃 just want to say I appreciate you and your advice on here😃 thanks and keep up the great work😀😁
@@francinemattson6442 thank-you so much. This is a very encouraging comment and I appreciate you taking the time to share it ❤️. I am a Christian too. I try to just laugh at the rude comments people think are necessary for them to post 🤷♀️.
Así siempre lo eh preparado, a una taza, una cucharada colmada de café luego se vierte el agua hirviendo a la mitad de la taza y se deja reposar un minuto, pasado el minuto se le agrega el resto del agua hirviendo y listo!
Im very impressed! I espessial like part. About wait 20 seconds else burn the coffee! Withh those fine particlrs I guess its eady to burn and biytter. You wouldnt want an espredso machine to blow up anyway. At lesst I wouldnt. Happy sipping😅❤
It can not be considered as espresso because the recipe does not considering pressure. Yes, it's espresso-style just because probably taste is super-concentrated, but the whole idea of espresso is using high pressures to make a beverage.
So I just tried this . I fixed it up as a latter with hazelnut beans and thru in some Carmel flavored syrup and of course topped with froth plus even though it’s a latte I like to throw on lots of foam😀🤗 let me tell ya it is so very yum!!! Thanks so much!! I now have my new coffee base!!!
I would call it strong coffee at best. But the technique is very good and better than an instant coffee. With little equipment. I would still rather use a moka that is dirt cheap.
So it’s actually just one of my Tablespoon measuring spoons. And it was given to me as a gift. I did some searching and found some it it’s called the “Tupperware ergonomic measuring spoon”.
Her is the same set I have listed fairly cheap on Etsy. www.etsy.com/listing/1412066352/vintage-tupperware-white-measuring It looks like it’s a vintage set that they no longer produce 🤷♀️.
I need to try this! How much water would you say you use/does that glass hold? I'm looking to try this as a stopgap while i save for an espresso machine.
No A machine. A HALF DOZEN Joking. I like the double walled drinking cup. The good cup of coffee is quite a ritual. Similarly a Japanese tea ceremony. Pre heating is a good factor. I live in Herefordshire where the water is disgusting and hard. So much depends on good water Our kettles get a load of lime fur/scale. I noticed that up in Scotland the kettle get a black fur /scale from the soft peaty water. The same water that makes the best whiskey. Nice video. Keep on experimenting .
They are actually a little glass cup I get with my yogurt! #reuse 😆. It’s the “Oui” glass cups from Yoplait, these ones here: amzn.to/3UCWGeU but I get the dairy free ones from Walmart, Kroger. You are welcome!
Yes! It’s not true espresso but serves as a perfect substitute for it when you don’t have a machine. There is no pressure involved and espresso takes both heat and pressure to create.
@@kyoxtohru112she does use boiling water but the thing is she didnt maintain the heat of it in the coffee. We all know that if you leave something hot out for a while it will go cold, same thing. The point of an espresso is to maintain the heat so its pressurized. Without doing so you wont get espresso
I'm not mocking you. I will try your method. I have been watching the moka pot people rebrandinng the old espresso pot. Duh. Its still lousy in my opinion. I think you are on to something. Because in end it's about the taste. At moment I just use the French press and don't let it steep. I then dribble a sixth of cold water on top of the poured cup. It's just the smoothest cup of coffee I can make with the least amount of equipment and time.
Of course this is great of you like strong coffee, and I guess it works quite well with minimal tools. But please don't call this espresso, and the foam isn't crema. A like none the less for advocating proper coffee!
Thank-you 😊. I realize this is not a true espresso with crema. Not everyone has access to a good espresso machine, and would like to have a comparable substitute to make drinks at home.
