I’m researching what they coat cereal in to make it crunchy. If you combine this recipe, but add that crunch, it would be very close to the original. It’s looking like it’s most likely a starch, like corn starch.

You should try drying it in the oven like caramel corn. That way it will have that nice crunch the original had.

I was absolutely devastated when they discontinued my lifelong favorite cereal. I never stopped eating it since childhood and that crap they replaced it with was obscene and poor, shameful imitation. I applaud your efforts here, but it’s not the same. The crispy sweetness, the crunch, the joy of getting the large chunks of the cereal, and the taste and texture of the milk that was left behind seem to be all absent here. Maybe you could achieve more accuracy if you took what you made and dehydrated it.

Easier method is buy store bough treats and mix them in a food processor (slowly) with regular rice Krispy cereal, clump them together yourself and leave to dry or put them in the fridge, closest you can get.

Yea.. cool video and i applaud the effort but its just not the same. Im looking everywhere to find out how Kellogg's made the cereal. Making treats and putting it in a bowl of milk would seem logical but its not how they are made. If anyone worked for kellogs... Give us a hint!!!!
