Which Milano cookie flavor is your favorite?! I always liked these classic ones, but if you wanted to make MINT CHOCOLATE you could combine 3/4 cup (94 grams) powdered sugar + 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract and spread that on the other half of the cookies :)
I am trying this recipe for my grand daughter, she is 12 and wanted these at Walmart, after I looked at the ingredients I said let's bake these at home. It looks so easy and this way I can control the ingredients. I know these are going to be delish. Thank you
❤❤❤ thank you so much you don’t realize it but in time you’ll look back years back what a great job you did thank you again JP from Miami. Yes homemade does taste better and it doesn’t have the extra preserves.
Hi, I made these today and they tasted really good. I found them rather hard to bite into though. Can you suggest why this happened. Thank you for sharing this recipe I will be making them again.
Sounds like they were overbaked possibly? Make sure you're measuring your flour correctly and start checking your cookies a few minutes before the baking time ends in case your oven runs hot :)
I noticed that you commented on the messines of this recipe. Maybe this suggestion will help: put the chocolate in a piping bag with no collar or tip. Snip a small-ish hole at the end and pipe the chocolate on the cookies. Great recipe, thank you for posting.
I've seen two videos so far and neither person thought to do that.. Which is a great idea.. They used a piping bag for the cookie dough but didn't use one for the chocolate
Hi Sally! These cookies are slightly crumbly with a little bite. They won't be soft as long as you bake them long enough. More helpful tricks and tips in the full post, linked in the video caption! Let me know how it goes! :)
I LOVE Milano cookies. Hate the fact they're using poor quality fat. Thank you so much for this super easy recipe. Now for MINT Milano cookies I can add mint flavored frosting. Have real mint and will cut the amount of sugar as I don't like super sweet frosting.
Hmm sounds like maybe they were over-baked? Or possibly the flour was over-measured. They definitely shouldn't be hard, as you can see in the video! I've also had this recipe double-tested by a recipe tester and she didn't experience any hardness so I'm a bit stumped!
