Homemade mini Motorized Schwinn Stingray 6.5hp Chopper bike not a 2 stroke 50cc or 80cc its a 4 stroke 212cc Harbor Freight preadetor engine motor, Mobbing around on a homebuild mini chopper.
what kind of speeds do you think i could reach with the Predator 79cc 4 stroke engine? The 212 seems a bit overkill and id have a harder time explaining to pigs about the size haha
The 79cc is a decent motor. I've actually built a front friction drive with it. Clocked it going 34 mph and goes up hills very well believe it or not. This is with a 2.5" diameter (actually 2 7/8) black pipe spindle that I welded to the shell of a centrifugal clutch that I gutted and just used the bell and 5/8 sleeve. The motor was stock at the time with governer removed, a straight pipe, and stock jetted pz19 carb ($20) with custom manifold I welded up. Just took it apart to modify the 79cc. I believe these motors are capable of double their power or more. The bottom end is proven to be pretty strong. Only plan on about 6500-7000 rpm. -Taken .050 off cylinder head using 80 grit sandpaper layer on top of a sheet of glass. Estimating around 10:1 compression. Gonna run 93 with octane booster. -Ported and polished (very mild just cleaned and smoothed the casting flaws , kniffed the valve guides, and the top of the bowl about 1/4" before valve seats, smoothed the transition in the bowl. -Manifold and header gasket matched. -Running extra valve spring in center of stock valve spring got from the hardware store. This makes the springs around 18-20lbs to stop valve float. -filed the flywheel key .048 for around 8 degrees timing advance. -modified stock 1:1 ratio rocker arms to around 1:3 by adding a little weld to backside and drilling push rod dimple closer to the rocker arm stud. (This will give around .220 lift compared to stock .170) -indexed the plug. -header made from bmx frame tube -pz19 clone carb with custom manifold made from same bmx frame tube and flange was made from a washer. Not sure of jetting yet thinking 85-90 main (stock pz19 I have is 75 which is a little rich on slightly nodded motor. May try stock idle jet(35) because it was very rich on slightly modded motor. So all in all hardly anything spent and a little work and hoping for an increase from stock 3hp to 5.5-6hp. These motors have proven stout stock rod and flywheel I feel this is a good way to stay under the radar considering the size difference of the 79 and 212

Sorry i was going to make a new video explaining the bike build. But from 30 series torque converter to a jack shaft with 15 tooth sprocket to 44 tooth sprocket on a 20 inch wheel.
I had to cut and reweld frame and fit the engine. Engine mount and torqu i got from old go kart.Got 6.5hp engine from harbor freight for $100 and back sprocket came from bikeberry.com every thing else camr from old bicycles I had laying around.
I'm doing the same project it's just I don't know how to mount the plate since I don't have a welder. I have the engine and torque converter and basic tools, should I get someone to mount the plate for me or find a way without welding?
+A Kitten They do sell a bolt on plate kits but i've heard they get loose over time and not really sturdy. But if you already got the plate just buy the welder, it's good to have for when your bike breaks down. I got my welder from Horrible Freight and it was like $100. Heard many bad things about it, but so far i've done couple cool little projects:) and it comes with welding wire and little mask. Just clean metal with some sandpaper and plug in to your 120V. I also ended up reinforcing the frame because i had to cut it to fit the motor.

@@K0MRADru put the racing pipe designed for 212s on it and it will sound way better. Might as well put bigger jets and the huge intake on it too as well as stronger valve springs. Get the gopowersports kit. Adds a lot lot more power. Also remove gov.

K0MRADru PA, unfortunately anythign over 50cc is classed as a motorcycle regardless of pedals or not and the cost to turn it into a motorcycle and have a special inspection is the equivalent of just buying a cheaper used motorcycle. gawd i need to move back to nevada

Couple little things broke here and there but for a long time it was dam good ride! Till I fucked with governer. I have another bike video on my channl
