The outcome of this struggle challenge would make so much more sense if it started with: “Hey Frankie, it’s 3am and I am off my head on rum and cocaine. How do I make pizza?”
Wunderbar, Chef Frankie Celenza, for showing us your creative way that saved the day! If it doesn't work out as a pizza, make a calzone. Thanx and know your legend of fans always loves you no what the outcome mat be.
The moment he came up with the idea of upside down cast iron pan as a pizza stone, I knew that disaster was about to unfold. Sometimes sticking to what works is best.
Love it! So relieved that great cooks also make terrible messes accidentally. So important to let us see the imperfections, too. I know it would have tasted great.
My husband likes using the Betty Crocker electric pizza maker to cook many items in (not just pizza). It works fine for most meals, you may want to give it a try. (It is also very affordable, we purchased it for $20 on sale.)
Francis you are a great communicator. You make these meals seem possible for even an amateur. My mum was the best "Italian" food cook ever. (She isn't Italian but she was born in Italy) She even cooked in a restaurant. Sadly, the culinary skills transferred to all my siblings but not me. When I watch you I feel that "I could this". I especially like the current pizza phase you are doing. So, soon I WILL have a go at this. It's not as daunting as I thought. I am glad you are on youtube. Regards, Francis.
It's okay Frankie that's probably how calzone was invented. Food is very forgiving it can be a creative process in so many different ways. Luv u Frankie!
