It may sound utopian, but if you have to make one tool for every single tube size, these tools will be still cheaper than a tube notcher. I know that tube notchers are easy and fast to work with, but they are expensive even if you have a lathe and a milling machine to make it. This tool is simple and cheap, and can be even cheaper if you use bicycle spokes instead of stripped welding rods. Not perfect, but still better to use it than cutting the tubes without it.
