Ahh I love that you didn't toast the bread. I love soft bread for tuna and egg salad sandwiches.

A friend taught me to soak the diced onion in cold water, rinse a couple of times, then put in dishes where one may need raw onion. It takes away some of the bite and makes it easier to digest. Before that I wasn't able to eat raw onion because it made me feel sick and bloated. I find this method helpful, if someone else can use it, there it is. =)

I'm not a fan of tuna salad, but I tried your recipe for egg salad and everyone loved it, even my husband who's usually not fond of egg salad. :)

this is a good version, I work construction and when I get bored of my prosciutto and cheese I make this or her egg salad on Sunday night, boo ya

People please! Everyone is over thinking this tuna sandwich. There is no recipe..you don't need to write this down. I've been making tuna sandwiches since I was a child. You literally can put whatever you like to make your sandwich tasty. Its personal preference. The only perfect tuna sandwich is the one you make yourself:)

Mine is done with mayo, cheese, diced green chillies, corn, diced red onions, salt & pepper. Its quite heavy but very tasty once in a while or a lighter version is by adding diced tomatoes, red onions, diced green chillies, olive oil, corn (optional) salt & pepper. I will try yours Laura Vitale because it looks right in the middle not too heavy or light & look very yummy! xxx

This is the best tuna recipe I've tried so far. The only thing is it tends to be a bit dry and so I added a little more mayo to it. I also tried adding a little olive oil to it on another occasion. Both times it was great.

Laura about to make some tuna here! Love that you showed us a new way to flavor it. I am from California and of Mexican decent. I usually make my tuna with grated carrot, mayo, corn and of course jalapeños! Normally over a tostada with Tapatío hot sauce. Yum! Especially cause it's been so hot lately!

Just a little tip of something I like. Pop a little tuna salad on some crispy rolls, throw them in the oven just long enough to toast the bread, and yum-o. So good. That's how my mom did it. :-)

We didn't add celery or onion we put corn and peas, lol I don't think are the right ingredients but damn was it good! And since we're Mexican we put it on top of a tostada with hot sauce :)

I don’t use mayo at all. I use zesty Italian salad dressing and also capers, celery and red onions. We don’t make sandwiches but eat it like a salad with crackers. Your sandwich looked delicious, will try that too.

Great recipe, another tip is to beat all the ingredients together with an electric whisk, it makes for a fluffy even spread, and the fibers of the tuna will still be intact.. unlike when you blend tuna dip.

Use pickle juice and italian bread crumbs in ours somtimes with a boiled egg = divine 😄
