Modular homes and home parks close to stick-built homes is a country standard. Senior housing is available as well as income producing duplex homes. Self-starters do well here. Dependent attitudes do not. Be careful why you come. Bring your ability to earn a living with you.

The population of Gt Pass increased by 30 % in 20 years. Lots of drugs, homeless, Keystone cops, and crime. Incompetent city management. Limited cash and culture. Pretentious, unprofessional, grossly overpriced restaurants such as the Twisted Cork. My opinion based on a few years as a customer. Never again. My experience, my opinion. You opinion may vary.

@@lyza8636 I got on a good med cocktail through Rogue Health's psychiatry wing. And I'm getting therapy through DBT of Southern Oregon. I had to dig and do my time just spinning my wheels getting nowhere with people that didn't have time for me or didn't really seem to care. I'm getting places now though. I'm employed part-time which was a pipedream a few years ago.
Hi, in Oct 2020 I bought an acre of raw land in Cave Junction about a mile from the 199. I'm a senior & I don't have any utilities or a home on it yet. Realized I will have to take down about 20-30 trees in the Spring just to get enough sun for solar or even a garden. I don't have much $$$ & wondering what I should do. I have your phone#. I kind of was desperate in a way. Saw this add for the acre 47k when I fled Santa Cruz wildfire summer of 2020. It's a sweet place in many ways, I can walk to town so I feel like I lucked out. My neighbor is very cool. He owns several acres around my property. I will give you a call in the Spring & we can talk some more

The one thing I'd suggest is that you are very careful and highly discerning about who you let rent out space there, as it can be terribly hard to get the wrong people off your property if there are any issues. A Real Estate Attorney can assist with a contract that might help.

Hi there! Just being honest. There are major pluses and minuses to each area. You will also find different neighborhoods to struggle less with crime in GP. The best thing to do is to check it out for yourself, as well as some other areas like Jacksonville and Ashland.
I think you should really check out Grants Pass. It has some beautiful parks, each night the area enjoys a nice cool breeze, and some really nice neighborhoods.
@@tmoddison the city better do something about the drugs and hobos at every city park. By do something I mean not just throwing away tax money to make them more comfortable. Riverside park is looking more like any Portland park everyday now.
@@tmoddison I went to a city council meeting a couple of weeks ago, this city is hopeless with clowns running the council, and even bigger clowns for commissioners. The city cares more about receiving federal welfare than the taxpayer citizen. And the crimes not just down by the parks. My neighbors and I have had to deal with a junkie drug house for 3 years in the nicest neighborhood in nw GP. 3 years, I bet the police have been there over 30 times and couldn’t do anything because the city has turned them into babysitters of the hobos. Thanks but no thanks, I’ll be selling my home.
