Love the words you just said about go at your child’s pase. My second grader is about to finish the year and she just started reading last week. I am sooo proud of her and always kept reminding myself It’s OK she will get there when she is ready❤ She is so happy she can read 😍😍😍😍

Love your channel, website, content, etc. Thank you - always helpful. Question on GR Science. Loved your ideas of two rounds through. Great idea. You said you supplemented a lot. Can you expand on what supplements/how? Thank you.

We’ve loved your GR prep videos! Do you think you’ll be using GR in the future?

What level of spelling you see would you recommend starting with after completing Happy Cheetah’s 2nd grade program? Wild Tales? I’m trying to figure out which one would follow happy cheetah 2nd grade. My daughter loves the chunking in Happy Cheetah so I’m thinking spelling you see will be a good fit for her after we finish up happy cheetah.

I’ve heard mixed advice between starting at level c or level d. Honestly I think it just depends on the spelling skills of your kiddo. There is a placement test on spelling you see’s website, but personally I started with C - wild tales. We are moving through it easily without frustration (which was one of my goals for this age)

Thank you for your wonderful videos. How long does it take you to homeschooling on a daily basis with your third grader? I realize you have several children, so the time actually spent with your third grader might be difficult to calculate. I have only 3 kiddos and it takes me many hours to finish the school day with them. I don't know how to make things go "faster".

Often how long it takes for us to finish our work depends on how my little ones are feeling that day 🤪 I have had a lot of success with a “block schedule”. (I did a video on this a few years back). Blocking out a specific goal of time for different subjects throughout our day (for instance spending an hour on Bible math and handwriting before breakfast). The blocks give us a start and stop point, and we quit no matter how many lessons we complete, so some days we might finish 15 math problems, other days only 6.

@@EverydayHomeschooler @EverydayHomeschooler Thank you very much! That's actually a really helpful way of explaining it. Blocking out time by subject and just moving forward instead of just getting bogged down. 😊
