I'm making a point to watch black homeschooling families, as a first year homeschool auntie (raising my nieces and nephew) of 3 beautiful babies (ages 2, 3 and 6) it's so nice to see more black people homeschooling. Our public school system in our area is a joke and my nephew had a horrible kindergarten year (2022-23) and I had already wanted to homeschool originally but my mom convinced me to let him try kindergarten in public school first (as expected, it was the pits!) he was bullied, taught cuss words, wasn't allowed to speak about Jesus, and even attacked by a TEACHER! So much happened in a short period of time, not to mention, the first day of school, they lost him TWICE and never called us. Smh, but God kept him and here we are-happily homeschooling. Sorry the long comment! I am just happy to see my people embracing the beauty of homeschool!
