We use torchlight curriculum as morning basket/reading and play some board games (sleeping queens, sushi go, rush hour jr, etc) till lunch. Then we start "real" learning with TGTB in the afternoon for language art and math. We try to do science and art in the weekends.
I'm getting more and more excited about TGATB, wasn't too sure about it but videos like these give me reassurance-this mama is way passed internet searches, printing worksheets, cutting, laminating, 'homemade flash cards/flip books :-( This curriculum is my new self care :-)
I cannot get over how well your daughter can read! I’m not sure if it’s just her or the curriculum but if it’s the curriculum, I’m totally ON IT!!!!💕 And yes, I like seeing the hubbies in the videos, sometimes just out of curiosity (lol) and also to see how involved they are or what a real DITL is like!!
Our Co Op uses Good and Beautiful for science. Last year they used both Science and History. I enjoy seeing how well your girls do with their school. They are BEAUTIFUL AND SMART. They could pass for twins
Love your videos! My kids are homeschooling too and it has been so challenging, specially cause it is not usual to do so in Brazil, but with pandemic and all, all schools are closed and we had to adapt! I'm a teacher so it is fun to me, i love it! Keep sharing ur routine with us! ❤
Wow!!! Great work Mamma, it's hard doing this with two little ones, but you are doing a wonderful job. My baby I think is still too young, we've tried to incorporate him but he runs away... we try to do our morning routine starting with a reading circle on the carpet in the living room and he does join in from time to time, but I am looking forward to doing more activities with him. Thank you for your ideas and input! Lots of love, xx
Hello I really like this curriculum. How old are your kids? English is my second language and I am still learning. My daughter has 2.8 years old. Do you think she can already start the Pre K?? God bless your family
I am a mom of 3 year - old boy living in Vietnam. I wonder if THTB curriculum is accredited or not. Since homeschooling is not accepted in our country. I want to know if my child could attend college in the US after doing flex homeschool? Or we still need an accredited program for foreigner? Thanks, Lyn Mai
Brittany, how religious is the curriculum? I know its Christian based. We are a secular, non Christian family and trying to evaluate how religious this curriculum is.
Hi !! I have my 4 and 5 year old both using TGTB. My son is doing level K n and daughter doing level K primer. I felt in love with this curriculum as soon as I found it, but my son who’s using level K seems overwhelmed with it. Is there a strategy you used with your oldest daughter? I can tell she is enjoying to learn..
My wife is homeschooling the kids virtual learning I help out when I’m off. It’s different meeting with the school teachers on zoom. We definitely want to look into actual real homeschool. Any other ideas?
You are such a inspiration:) God bless you. I have one son he's two and a half. And another boy on the way, so I wanted to know what age you started Pre-K? I'm looking into homeschooling my son.
If I don't take a shower I can't function my son is the same since he start school preeschool now he is working and the same wake up at 5am and take a shower and go to work most people don't take shower in the morning because the weather 🤷♀️is something I dont get it I need the shower as some need the coffee 😊
Everyone’s schedule is different! I’m up so late at night, it’s hard for me to get up before 6:30-7. And my daughter is usually right there awake with me lol. That’s great you have such a good routine that works for you.
