As a certified School Supply SNOB, I of course had to watch all the way through. Lots of great ideas here! I have to say, though....I have moved on from Ticonderogas. They used to be my favorites, but the factory is no longer in the US and the quality has gone down :( I have a few recommendations in my cart to find a new favorite.
I’m working on setting up an Amazon store with all of these things (or similar things) linked in there. I’ll post the link here as soon as it’s set up!!
Update on the Amazon store: I applied but you have to have a minimum subscriber count to be eligible. So I’ll have to find all the links and will post as much as I can in the description. Some may be there now. When I’m done, I’ll comment here.
It has pros and cons. I liked it. But I also needed to stop! 😜 I’ve been asked to make a video about it and it’s on my list. But even when I wrote down the pros and the cons, it’s A LOT. So I’m trying to figure out how to explain without making it an hour long! 😜
How am I just now finding you?! I'm newer to homeschool, starting later in the process, and I need older kid moms experienced advice! Love your videos! Please keep doing them. There just are NOT enough older kid homeschool mom's on YT.
Not to take away from our beloved Rachel (who I must shamelessly admit is one of my top 3 favorite homeschool moms to watch ❤), but Learning with Boys, MomDelights, and several others whose names all escape me atm also have older and even graduated children. Worth a look if you haven't already found them 😊
All I can say is wow!! We had a lousy year last year like everybody else and I was trying to figure out homeschool and I really still am. I am working with my 8-year-old ADHD granddaughter. She's a challenge on the very best days. You have given me so many wonderful ideas I totally thank you for this video. You have a new subscriber definitely. I also love your style.
You’re welcome! You can always purchase their products without being in a community. So you could also get the physical CDs and other things if you wanted from their website! 😉
Side note: Yes, use WET ERASE on laminated things. Dry erase can indeed be a struggle to wipe off and they can even stain. The brand name Expo markers are guilty of this, too, not just the cheap ones.
One of my favourites is our pencil cases. My kids kno where their pens and pencils are as we buy fun ones. We love binders. We live a5 binders. I’ve not find binder tabs that works wiv page protectors. I turn the corners over but my kids use bookmarks. I love command strips as well. My favourite pen is my ink pen, we are a ink pen family. We know in our family that a pencil case belongs onli for that person including my pencil case. We love portal whiteboards. Paper cutters are awesome!!!
I start college in a few months (August 7th i believe) and i am doing home schooling because of how bad my seizures are, what would you recommend for a college student specifically for their homeschooling items?
I’d recommend a good planner to keep your assignments straight and to help you with a routine. The home planner I use, that has lots of habit tracking boxes….they also have an a academic planner that I’ve always thought would be good for a college student! Check out the academic planner here: shop.passionatepennypincher.com/?aff=84 Otherwise, same items I say in this video….the binders, the pens, and the pencils….are all the best!
Yes, we roll them between the kitchen (main homeschool space) and the living room. They have all their daily tools on top and art supplies on the bottom two shelves. We usually do things like art hub for kids, so it makes it easy to roll near the TV for that. I was keeping their curriculum on it, but they are to the point of needing more space for it. IKEA shelf to the rescue!
I just found your channel and I’m enjoying your content. I’m having a hard time finding the table top clear covers you use on your table, is you can share which one it is you are using from Amazon, I’d appreciate it 😀 we have a farmhouse table with many ridges and grooves and the clear covers would be great.
Oh I’m so glad you are enjoying it! I actually got those at IKEA and when I went back a couple months ago, they changed the style. They are a lot smaller now. :( I hope they bring the bigger size back. They are usually in the office supplies.
The frixon pens are great just don't leave a note book that you've written in with them in the car on a summer day. The ink will disappear at 80 degrees
I have a similar paper cutter, my old job was trashing it and I took it home because I was into arts and crafts. Mine is just a little more child safe, but I can't let the kiddos use it by themselves so I got a newer one.
Unfortunately, I do not have a list put together. Most of this you can find on amazon. I have posted a few links in the comments for a couple things that people had trouble finding. The binders are the only item maybe not on amazon and Ive only seen at Staples.
I’m working on setting up an amazon store with all of this in it since so many are asking for links across many of my videos. I’ll post that store in here soon. Hopefully by the end of the week, it will be set up. 😊
One of my favorites is a tablet. I keep all of our digital lesson guides on it. It saves so much money and space because you don’t have to print any lesson guides.
thank you so much for all the great tips! Ticonderoga and pilot g2 pens are our favorites too! For the clipboards, do you see a great need to have storage included with the clipboard or is that just a waste of money and resources?
@@danielleowen9921 I have one of those. My girls like to use it some. I don’t have an opinion one way or another on those. I never specifically bought those for my kids. As a tutor in CC, mine was handy. I had a lesson plan clipped. And as I needed to make notes, the notebook was handy. But I don’t use it at home. That wasn’t much help! 😜 I think it really depends on how you might use notebooks, I guess.
@@danielleowen9921 I think I could see a use like if they were also bringing a math textbook and doing their work along with their worksheets. Or if they were copying words, etc from a clipped page, it could be handy. But could you also live without it, yea. We’ve never had them.
Clip-rite Clip-Flags are my favorite thing to keep my place in any book. They don't fall out and hold up well. I have been using one pack for years. They are expensive online but cheep if you can find them in person.
Do you still think the app is great for memory work if you aren't in the CC program anymore? I'm debating on C.C. I know I want my kids to memorize more geography, math facts, history facts, and scripture. I'm just not sold on c.c. yet.
I think the app i wonderful. Would I think that if I hadn’t done CC? 🤔 I will say the community aspect makes the memory work more fun and helps it come alive more. But if you can’t do that….For learning the memory work, the app is great! Also buying the memory work from iTunes (or where you buy music) so you can just listen to it in the car or while you do art or something is helpful. We don’t use the app regularly anymore, but when we do, I do think it makes the memory work more engaging.
You just blew my mind with the part about slipping laminated pages into the laminated pockets!! I always got mildly annoyed by the shadow of marker that was left and constantly rubbing hard with the eraser! Thanks!
@@flynnmorrow6945 here’s the link: My old school paper cutter!! amzn.to/352zfTs You’re gonna love have bc this!!! Every time I use it, I’m like, “who knew this had so many uses?!?!”
@@claudialee7909 it’s on a cd. And all the CDs are available as MP3 downloads from iTunes or wherever you download music. So the CD is called “timeline songs and more”. They have it for every cycle. The timeline song doesn’t change. But some albums (cycles) may have other different songs. The presidents song is a good one. You can buy it for $6.99 on iTunes and get all the songs. The timeline song is so long, you can’t buy it as 1 song. It’s split into 7 sections that all start with “Age of”. So it’s worth it to just buy the entire album.
That could take awhile, which is why I didn’t do it. It’s December!!! 😜 most everything can be found on amazon. If there’s something you can’t find, let me know and I’ll look for a link.
@@OurHOMEschoolPlan hahaha!! Alot of that I already have as must haves for homeschooling. There were a couple things I thought "oh that would make life so much easier!" I'll let you know if I can't find something. Thanks for doing that video. As always it was entertaining :)
@@faithfullyinfertile thank you! You are so kind! Yes if you can’t find something, let me know! But I’m curious what you are interested in that you didn’t already have? 😉
I’m finally setting up an amazon store!! I’m making my husband do it for me today! Lol! But I will hopefully have links soon if you haven’t already found the items you’re interested in. I know it’s been a few months. 😉
