a "lyricover" of Flare from Homestuck, with my own lyrics & melody composed for the track. like Three in the Morning, the original version of Flare was composed by Clark Powell.
known to the Homestuck music circle as Plazmataz, they went on to write incredible work, and they're now making pop music under the title After-Party Animal.

for this lyricover, as i mentioned, i wrote the lyrics and melody, sung and recorded the song, then mixed it with Clark and Tyson's work.

+ easily one of the best songs i've done in terms of lyricover composition. the vocals match the melody as well as sarabande if not better, and the production was much better overall with the backing tracks.
- i didn't like the high note as much as others did here!!
+ still really nice harmony stuff going on, and the chorusy vocals went really far.
- i could've hit the pitch a bit better at a lot of different points, or added a bit more warmth into certain parts to add to how things moved. but i do appreciate how the feeling moved naturally, it's just more dark than i would prefer.
