I live for 2:05, though every part of this song seems to embody a different aspect of the planet. Its seemingly perpetual night, the soft glow of the fireflies and bioluminescent mushrooms, the ocean of oil, even the feeling vast emptiness of the spire John's house sits on above the clouds. This album is absolutely wonderful, deserves way more credit.
i know it's been 10 years but this is true. it is more than just inspiring. each song tells its own story and perspective. some of them are absolutely nonsensical like the Trickster Mode theme and Horsechestra (STRONG Version) but some of them convey emotions and feelings of Hope and Hopelessness, Comfort and Unease, Joy and Sadness, Light and Shade. The list goes on and on. Calliope's songs (including land of fans & music) convey feelings of needing to provice peace and kindness at the cost of one's own needs. Selflessness. By contrast, Caliborn's songs give an aura of chaos and depravity. A need to kill everyone and win against impossible odds to fuel one's ego. Selfishness.
4:23 sounds like it would be played over a montage of two characters falling in love (including a scene where one is trying to teach the other to play it on the piano)
Hmmm.... Lots of piano towards the end.... and piano is John's instrument... I wonder about the other songs in this album? Do they have their respective character's instrument in them? :O I must go look now.
assuming youre talking to jayde im pretty sure they did put two and two together, they were pointing out that light used rose's as well but yes most of the songs use the kids' instruments with the exception of frogs and rain
The number of views "Medium" and "The Wanderers" gathered during these years really shows how little ""homestucks"" actually care about the comic when it's not about troll shipping.
I think it's just that the Medium albums are just generally unpopular? I've been listening to TONS of songs and I've only found out Medium existed a few minutes ago (troll shipping is fun too)
