Region of Peel - Detectives from the Homicide Bureau have charged the suspect wanted in connection with the motel homicide in Mississauga.
On Monday, May 20, 2024, just before 9:30 a.m., police responded to a stabbing at a motel in the area of Britannia Road East and Whittle Road in the City of Mississauga. Upon arrival, paramedics and police located the victim, a woman in her 50s who was stabbed. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
On Tuesday, May 21, 2024, Waleed Osman, a 25-year-old man from Mississauga, was arrested and charged with:
• Second Degree Murder
He was held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
Waleed Osman is a relative of the deceased, however, this is not considered an intimate partner violence incident.
