Very helpful Thank you for making and sharing. 2 weeks ago I just bought a used 2004 Honda Accord EX 2.4 L automatic 4 door w/200k miles. During test and the drive home It ran & shifted great. The nxt drive it started spitting and sputtering when I pushed the gas. Few hours of research online - mostly youtube videos recommended clean &/ replace both VTECH solenoid gasket'S - which did work for that issue. Now during take-off it's got a weird hard shift no matter what gear I'm in. When we had all 4 tires replaced they showed us the weak upper and lower control arms that needs replaced asap.. I believe after we change transmission fluid, clean the tran screens, fix the MIA CEL, change both high beam 💡' s, get new (extra) keys made and keep maintenance up to date it'll be a dependable & nice car that will run for years.

Another great job L! 😂😂😂 In your last video, I was 100% sure it was going to be Insulation Tape and not a blown or removed LED because there were zero fault codes for the Cluster. I never imagined that there would be 2 lots of Insulation Tape!!! You had to refit it twice, they must have had to refit it twice too because the first taping they did must not have fully blacked out the MIL.

Answered my previous comment on the speed sensor video. 👍🏾 If the MIL doesn't illuminate on any car being purchased, you need to find out why. Also scan for codes. Good fix. Worst thing would be dead LED.

Cannot trust anyone, that's why my moms friend taught me when I was young to do my own tune ups on my dodge van, because he said Roxx you cant trust anyone!

Thanks for the tip! Bought an 06 Accord from a used car dealer a year ago and come to find out, whatever the bastards did, no CEL. Not surprised they are no longer there in business. Anyhow, some time ago I took the cluster out but didn't think to check if the LED was covered or not. Then gave up trying to get it back to working thinking that they disabled the CEL somehow. Recently, I've been looking around the 'net again like a madman to find a way to make it work again. I'll take a look again tomorrow and check for any cover ups as you did. Awesome stuff there you did!

once i have found construction foam covering the led and the foam damaged the pcb. fun times trying to fix bodges in the instrument cluster :(. Also have seen a car that a customer bought with engine light disabled the customer was not very happy when 500euro car had another 450euro repair costs atached to it, just to make the engine run ok, there were still other problems left.

I used to have that car i loved it so comfortable i had to get rid because it needed a new clutch and had the dreaded rattling timing chain.

😂😂 man I feel your frustration when the light doesn't show after the first tape removal. You straight away knew what had been done and that it just meant having to pull it all back off AGAIN!! Nor hard work to do again just frustration in yourself for not doing that extra check. I've been there ma.

I was going to buy a car from a dealership recently. Come to find out multiple people had their cars breakdown days and sometimes even hours after they left the lot. It turns out the dealership was stuffing cotton balls in front of the light to keep it from showing up on the instrument cluster.

Saved me a trip to the junkyard thanks alot bro... these idiots put play-dooh on mine to cover led 😒

WoW honestly, those guy's were really professional in tampering things🤣🤣🤣Lol I've encountered several vehicle's soo far with various types of tampering method's, people here do this a lot to bypass catalytic converters, dpfe's, airbag modules & lately immo🔧 I wish these tech's would at-least think of the damage they cause (by committing such shortcuts) to the integrity & customer trust in this profession, instead of their pockets🤔 Thanks for sharing Bro, & keep up the Avenger Work😎 (All good tech's are indeed Avengers💪) Stay Safe❤

I'm betting a few quid that the light was just blocked off because it was on and that meant an MOT fail, and the MOT "inspectors" just botched off the light with black tape just to make it pass. With a botch job like that I really wouldn't trust the odometer reading...

The best bodge I have ever came across was when someone a screwed a 5 speed gear knob on 4 speed gearbox, and the guy that bought the car was so naive that he drove in third gear and thought he was in fifth. They walk amongst us.

Had one exactly the same on a Suzuki Swift. They must have spent more time doing that than it took to repair it properly.

At least they were intelligent enough not to use sellotape.

have car with ABS and ESP light was coming on took cluster off to get part number for LCD multifuction display someone bridged ABS and ESP led with a soldered wire so cut wire and put back in car now ABS light glows very dimly before ignition on glows normal ignition on glows dimly again when ign off stays lighting as long as LCD lights (that part is normal) after i lock car for about 10 seconds , anyone any ideas, i learned on the cars of 50s 60 70 80 90 2000s. electronics on this car are beyond me for the most part , it's space shuttle technology

of course, if it had an analog speedo they would have clocked it at the same time
