Do the buttons on the steering wheel work for the volume?

I’m getting no volume from my until... RCA cables are plugged in. Any suggestions?

I want this but need to make sure backup camera and side cameras work. I am leary on this deck due to that damm imid and the shiny screen

Hey bro quick question,,, does you screen is easy to see?? I got a similar and the angle make is impossible to see it when you are seated! It is justa. Bright white screen and hard to see it until I face it in the right angle… is the same for your?? I believe it is the lowe quality screen? Or might be because I have remove the screen protective plastic

@electro Mejia did you change the brightness. Only advice is maybe tint your windows

Michael, were you able to have the rear and side cameras display on the upper iMID screen? Mine is showing up on the new 10" screen where it doesn't look as good because it's the same resolution displayed on the bigger screen. My upper screen is blank and does not display the fuel consumption info nor the camera views. I also have a 2014 EX-L (w/out navi).

@@thephiliptan the right view only shows up on the headunit. The reverse shows on both but the top display was very dim at night. As for the fuel gauge and other things on the top display, as my buddy always have it turned off. But there might be a setting to change it.

Have you gotten and installed this yourself since watching this video? I’d like to know your current opinion.

@@julianperoune1467 Unfortunately I was so tired of having bad options so no sorry to report, I ended up getting a 2018 Accord, the system is MILES better, however at this point, I'd recommend just getting a 2021 Accord or 2022 Civic with Wireless Carplay, I've come to realize, aftermarket options for wireless carplay are shit and never work 100%

Let me know if you ever did your 2017.... The sound system is terrible in the '17

@@ratkins2780 I ended up not doing it. I know this is not what you want to hear, and I loved my V6 but I found an insane deal and just upgraded to a 2018 Accord 2.0T. I love it way more than the V6 and am so happy with it. Sold the V6 for like 19.5k then bought the 2018 for 19k. Went from a 2017 V6 EXL to a 2018 2.0T EXL. Definitely worth it. Sound system is better but still not substantial. Not until the 2023 11th gen where it's actually bose and a decent sound system. However screw hybrids so if you were to get a new car go for a 21-22 Touring. Best option out right now. I did interact with other people who did change it though and they said it was worthwhile and way better so it's ultimately up to you. Again I know what I did isn't what you want to hear but it is what it is. 2017 Accord is fantastic in every way, except for the horrible and I mean horrible interior, nothing about it is good at all. The 10th gen interior is a stark contrast and just absolute perfection in terms of design. The 11th gen is not quite perfection but has everything you need. Sucks the exterior is ugly

@@christian9211 I mean I'd be doing it soley for the Apple Carplay which is wireless but dude be careful, I've heard people say after about 3 months the FM/AM radio starts to be staticy and cut out, which doesn't make sense to me but they said that, the wireless carplay was buggy, and that the clock would sometimes go to 24 hour time randomly, idk if Dasaita fixed that yet, seems like only software issues to me, please do keep it updated though this is a huge project and if it works out might still have interest, good luck! Edit: I got a 2017 EXL V6, I've been told it works with all models and on top of that MAKE SURE YOU ORDER THE SPECIAL HARNESS WITH IT IF YOU HAVE 2 SCREENS, THIS IS IMPORTANT

@@JohnNguyenVincent Hey Brother, your video has gotten me real pumped up and hyped to get this Unit, but after one year of use, provided that you still have it installed, has it been durable? Did you fix the issues with the reverse cam? Did it develop any knee issues?

Basically, you have the exact same model as his, I understand his is 2014 Sport model, but there is no difference between LX and Sport. So you should be fine doing this mod. As mentioned in his video, everything is functional.

Mine lasted only one year and it always had problems. If i was you guys i say go for a better known brand unit and to keep your factory settings. The moment i put the old unit back it felt like i came home. Thankss

I just ordered this for my 2017 accord aswell still not home yet, i want to keep the rear camera on the top screen once i get it how do i do that?

you are going to connect the two yellow RCA connectors labeled cameras. then you test it until you get it as you like it. try both options and see what you like the most. I installed mine at night maybe that affected the quality of the camera

yeah, there just so many connections it makes but at least you don't have to actually need to match it one by one. The harness makes it easier.

How is the radio working for you? Does all the steering wheel buttons work? Does it sound better than the oem stereo?

on the steering wheel should be a screen change button to cycle through top screen things.

Yeah thats the part they left out … for some reason🙄 you basically have to leave the oem unit connected and hide it somewhere… in the dash or glove box and get what ever power you need from the old dect to the new … and connect speaker wire from old deck to the new .. a bit tricky but can be done

Did it wind up fitting yours? I have a 2013 coupe ex also and in the amazon picture it says it doesnt fit the trim with the little factory screen

I have the back up camera set to display on both screens but the picture on the new unit (lower screen) is grainey. Have you experienced this or know a fix for it?

I also installed wireless charging, be aware it does not fit any large phones (I have an iPhone 12 pro Max). The only cons I have are that the back up camera guidelines do not show the trajectory based off the steering wheel. And there is a slight constant sound of feedback when nothing is playing.

Did you ever figure this out? The control settings for the top screen isn't working for me... it shows everything I need access to but doesn't work/make changes. I want to switch the blue screen back to red.

@@peteadam9453 nope, there’s no fix for it. I reached out to them had me update the firmware still nothing. I don’t mind it much anymore. And I put a gradient red and blue wallpaper on the screen to make it kinda match

@@jayalmas3789 it was definitely worth it. You actually don’t lose anything. I thought I was going to lose the ability to change my top screen color or reset my tps but you don’t. It’s definitely worth purchasing.

@@shanagirl101 Virtual buttons are so fucking bad it's a joke, literally everyone wants knobs, with tactile feedback, idk who designed virtual buttons but whoever did clearly never drove a car before, you know how hard it is to press those and just bad

I have the same issue with my car (2017 accord). Seems to be a very common issue and an annoying one at that. It's common enough that I'm honestly surprised there hasn't been a class action lawsuit over it yet. Multiple dealership visits later and one head unit later it's still a problem.

@@jkwinningham same problem with my ex the navigation just froze in the middle of the highway. i was so scared. but i have a solution to this and specificaly for the people facing the same problem like me. i know this might be uncommon problem to most 9th gen accord owners but i am sure one of them. the trick is to connect your phone with the car but turn off siri what that does is you can play your music and the speakers of the car will connect with that but the navigation wont be connected with the car. its going be there in your phone, you can use a phone stand to hold your phone and listen to music. i know its not a solution and i am also in the market for buying a after market screen but I want to understand what is the actual problem that I am facing before doing any changes.
