I bought the 2.0t sport with the still night pearl color. I liked the way the sport looked and the color was only available in the sport at the time. Best decision I made. I didn't need the navigation since you get android auto and apple careplay. I would like the heads up display but its okay.

You are right on that, Android Auto / Apple CarPlay makes the infotainment system great, I am a little old school, I like Navigation, but I use my phone most of the time. The Heads Up Display is something that should be in all cars, because it shows you your speed, traffic signs, your audio, and navigation, turn by turn. The Sport 2.0T is a great car congratulations on your purchase, it is a vehicle that is sharp and has everything a person really needs. Thank you for you comment Honda.

@0:39 -- Michelin tires. Note that only the 2.0 liter Accords come with Michelin tires. The 1.5 liter Accords come with Goodyear tires. The wheels are identical. The tire sizes are identical. But the tire brands differ. Most folks will never know the difference between the Goodyear tires vs the Michelin tires. But the Michelin tires perform better. Take the car sideways (so-to-speak) around a turn, and the Michelin tires will reveal how much better they are. And they are all-season tires, which is amazing for that class of tire. Also note that the 2.0 models have larger brakes than the 1.5 models. There are several other options that come standard with the 2.0 model, that are absent from the 1.5 model. Note that all of the above applies to the Accord Sport, because the Accord Touring is not available with the 1.5 liter engine. Cheers!

The stock Michelin MXM4 on the Touring is horrible. I have the 21 Touring and switched it out after a few months as it was horrible in the rain and it was on decent in the dry summer. My new tires are the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S4 and it's leagues ahead of this garbage stock Michelin MXM4.
@NoEgg4u
@NoEgg4u 2 года назад
@@302daddyd You are comparing the stock, "All Season" MXM4 tires to "Max Performance Summer" tires. Of course the latter will out-perform the former. Why not get the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires for your accord? They will make your Pilot Sport A/S4 tires seem like garbage. If you want to call the stock Michelin MXM4 tires garbage, then come up with an alternate "All Season" tire that will out perform the Accord's stock MXM4 tires. Comparing "All Season" tires to your "Max Performance Summer" tires is like comparing the Accord to a Corvette. When making comparisons, use tires that are designed for the same usage ("All Season vs All Season" or "Summer Max Performance vs Summer Max Performance", etc). Your comparison of the "All Season" MXM4 tires to the "Max Performance Summer" Pilot Sport tires has no merit. Furthermore, you do not get to choose your tires, when you purchase an Accord. You either get the stock Michelin tires (2.0 Accords) or the stock Goodyear tires (1.5 Accords), and the Michelins are better than the Goodyears. And for "All Season" tires, the Michelins are as good as they get. Good luck with your "Max Performance Summer" tires in the snow.

We're looking into the new accord 2.0T but my gf liked the driving dynamics of the stinger gt better
@HawkeyeRides
@HawkeyeRides 4 года назад
SSDracer great choices, both are very close with hp, price points are close as well. Honda Accord 2.0T, interior space, and mpg. If your looking for a quick ride, more of a head turner, Kia. Kia will cost more for brakes, tires; depending on wheel size, Honda will be the least expensive for services. Thank you for your comment.

Stinger?!? 😂 Performance vs commute. Completely different auto segment. Simply sitting in the Stingers firm sport seat will tell you that. NOT comfortable for daily driving at all. GF simply wanted the vanity of driving the cheap peeps version of the Infiniti Q60 (which actually has amazing seats). High maintenance and vanity driven. Definitely do not put a ring on that.

Great video. Do you know if the 2020 Honda Accord 2.0T has the oil dilution issue or not? I heard the 1.5T does. Also between the Accord Sport and Touring which model handles the potholes better? Last question, if you had to choose between Camry and Accord, which one would you go for?
@HawkeyeRides
@HawkeyeRides 4 года назад
Ben S great questions, first one; go for the 2.0t right now only fix is updates, and a one year extended warranty with unlimited miles for this issue. The sport vs touring on suspension the only difference is the adaptive damper system, price point is also about 10,000 more, you do get upgrades in the vehicle, but big price change if your only looking at suspension. The touring will drive smoother but bigger wheels with lower tire tread can pop easier. But it is smoother. I work with both companies, and from the dealerships talking about there models, Honda says 200,000 miles no problem, Toyota says it’s a Toyota they last forever. I will say even Toyota has oil problems but they are in older vehicles where they drink oil, which is not uncommon in lots of vehicles, so if you maintenance the vehicle and drive it, you should be fine with either. Turbocharged engines as I talk about while I drive the vehicles need to hit higher rpms because of these problems with the engine oil and gas mixing, just keep that in mind if you buy a turbo engine. I would go for non-turbo, and Toyota has a 2.5 v4 Camry if your looking to save MPG’s. I also have a video on the XSE which has that engine. Hope this helps, thank you for your comment.

@@HawkeyeRides Thank you so much for your detailed reply. I will certainly test drive the Camery you mentioned above. What are your thoughts about Mazda 6 non turbo and new Subaru Legacy? Do they measure up to the Camery?
@HawkeyeRides
@HawkeyeRides 4 года назад
The Mazda 6 is very elegant and is best with luxury in its class, engine for both the Mazda and Subaru are very close with hp, Subaru 182, Mazda 187, infotainment systems for Mazda or Toyota has the 8 inch screen, Subaru has a 7 inch unless you upgrade to the 11.6. If your looking for price Toyota, if your looking for luxury Mazda, if your looking for All wheel drive, quite in the cabin Subaru. I feel it really goes down to how long your keeping the vehicle too, I also would call a few dealerships and see how they treat you, because when you buy a car you will go to them for service, and if they are rude stay away from that dealer and maybe the brand. Thank you for your comments Ben S, I hope this helps.

@@HawkeyeRides Thanks a million again for your reply. I am so confused and have no idea what to do for my next car. I bought my 2003 Honda Accord EX new and now the engine and transmission is leaking like Titanic :) I don't want to spend $2,000 to fix a car that is only worth $1,200. I don't own my business, so leasing will not be a tax write off for me. I usually keep my car for as long as it runs well and doesn't become a money pit. Hopefully, I will figure it out. However, you have been extremely kind in guiding me.
@HawkeyeRides
@HawkeyeRides 4 года назад
If you want a warranty, the best is Volkswagen, on 2019 you can still get 6 years 72,000 miles but if it is a 2020 they changed it to 4 years 50,000 miles which is still luxury warranty. I would change vehicles, but keep in mind you had this one for 17 years or so, you did good with years miles I don’t know. My family has had both Toyota and Honda, both can be really good. Both have been doing CVT transmission for a long time. If you are ok with going closer to the 40k price point, I would say Infiniti because of warranty and service is inexpensive for luxury. If your ok with a pre owned them the warranty can go to the 100,000 miles which will help for a long time, and service for luxury they will pick your car up for service and drop you a free rental. Keep me informed if you need help with questions Ben S, and thanks again for the comments.

do those 19inch wheels crack when you hit potholes?
@HawkeyeRides

They can if your driving higher speeds but for the most part try not to hit hard potholes as any wheel that size can crack or make a bubble on the sidewall of the tire.

How's the ride difference with adaptive dampers in the touring?
@HawkeyeRides
@HawkeyeRides 4 года назад
Thank you for your comment Pre-Med Path, so this system works to improve normal ride quality and in Sports mode it becomes more firm. This system changes the feel of the car, to me I noticed this almost immediately, the ride was about 70% more in comfort, it was not so much on the sports mode, this one was more like half. I would choice the Touring over the sport not only because of the ride improvements, but the inside is quieter, the infotainment system was better, and the seats where better quality.

How much quieter is the Touring? Does it have dual pane windows on the front windshield or all around?
@HawkeyeRides
@HawkeyeRides 4 года назад
Great question, yes on the Touring Model it is on the front windshield, driver and passenger windows. The back seat and rear window are tempered glass. Tempered glass is non-laminated single pane glass. This upgrade really make a difference, the car drives more then 50% quieter.

@smokesgtp
@smokesgtp 4 года назад
@@ItsAlive111 No, I believe they all have sound absorbing material in the wheelwells... I'm not 100% on that. This is a plastic part actually inside the tire that attaches to the wheel to change the frequency of vibration/rebound noise. It's noticeable over expansion joints especially if you drive a Sport and Touring back to back.
@smokesgtp
@smokesgtp 4 года назад
@@ItsAlive111 there's still tons of room for noise reduction in this car. I'm going to get to that soon. I drive a lot, and have 15 or so sheets of the Noico stuff sitting around, so it makes sense. I'll hit the door bottoms, front wheel wells, and under the rear seats.

You can get a 1.5l in the Sport Model but only the 2.0 in the touring, the big trim updates are inside with a bigger engine and 10 speed where the sport is a cvt transmission. The price upgrade is around 9k, I would go for the 2.0 engine on the sport and save the extra, unless you get a good deal which some dealerships will give you the upgrades for maybe a few thousand more instead of 9k. Thank you Brandon Marks for your comment.
