Glad to see you back. Discovered your videos right at the beginning of Covid and now have 8k miles on my 2017 AT. Just finished Mexican border to Canadian border up the west coast a few months ago.
First 2 second of your video I give a like. Thats how much I have been waiting for your update friend. I will be getting Africa twin coz of your adventure and Honda’s reliability. Please continue your journeys. Thank you
Cool, thanks William. Riding through the redwood forest looks inviting but the west coastal road of the USA are just spectacular. I have driven the coastline from San Francisco to LAX a few times but never had the pleasure of doing it by bike.
Hey Billy! 😀✌️ So good to see you back on two wheels! You look great!👍 The Africa Twin got some new Equipment for testing! Great to participate! 👍 Have fun on your Trip! Take care man! 🍀🙏🍀 Best whishes from Germany!
Yeah I get you on the AK thing, I planned to go there on my 2017 AT in 2018 but I fell off in the dirt and cracked two ribs just 30 days before my departure.....haven't got it all together for a redux. I had a cool route planned out too. Good luck to ya!
omg, me in a GS & my buddy in a AfricaT where southbound on Usal rd when you were riding north. Im sorry i didnt even recognize you, i was too busy concentrating on riding, that was our first time on Usal, it was challenging for me in a big bike. my buddy just said you where the one heading north passed us. wish I met you. take care and ride safe!
awesome video, audio levels could be better though, keep having to turn up the volume to hear your voice and down for the loud music. Otherwise great, can't wait to see more!
I've fought fire up around Murder Mountain (as well as many other places). I can assure you that no one is going to hear you scream! BTW, you went through my neck of the woods around 2:15! I'm just west of Two Rock and ride Hwy 1 a bit in Marin and Sonoma counties. Definitely happy places for me.
Traded my Africa Twin DCT in on a Goldwing DCT but still enjoy your videos and following along on your adventures. Would love to do that same ride other than the little bit of dirt around the 7:00 minute mark. Really gorgeous scenery and some great looking roads!
@@dabike no I get it, was just wondering, do you notice any difference in the DCT functionality between the two? Would the goldwing be smoother due to being a heavier bike? What’s your opinion, seeing you’ve had both?
@@trucker-d4161 DCT functionality pretty much the same. Phenomenal on both bikes. Africa Twin is a tall bike. I knew I would never go off road so the Goldwing, which is lower, more comfortable and more powerful, was the better choice for me. Now if I could have had 2 bikes, maybe I'd keep the Africa Twin. But might also look at the BMW GS. My neighbor has one and it is a great looking bike as well. But if I can only have one, the Goldwing DCT is my easy favorite.
Outstanding scenery mate, good to see you back. Keen to see how that Mosko gear goes, they look the goods! I've spent the last few days binging on your channel. Just advertised the GS with the intent on getting an AT. Can't wait to see what you come up with on the channel. Did you make it to Australia? I'm still looking for that video.
I just got my lone rider bags, I like them better , really looked at mosk Moto hard to, was almost leading that way until lone rider now cam out with a locking and quick detach on their bags that the didn’t have before. Also bought their tent with the garage in it, absolutely quality stuff. I think most Moto is top stuff also. I have never seen you do chain maintenance, while on the road, have I missed that? Almost leaning towards a supere tenere, just to eliminate the chain thing.
Hey man, I have been seriously considering a DCT Africa Twin but I have never owned a BIG HEAVY bike. I'm only 5'8"/160 and ride a 250 dual sport mostly off road. Do you ride this off road in harder dirt sections, and if so do you feel pretty comfortable on most terrain? Sorry I don't really know your back story and if your, like me, an average gumby or some Graham Jarvis mad skill dude. Thx
@@WilliamGloege that's such a beautiful area. About 10 years ago I actually drove a BMW 335i coupe from Shelter Cove through Honeydew not knowing how rugged it was for that little car haha Glad to see you getting out and enjoying the bike again. Hope your trip to Alaska is a great one. If you need a place to stay north of Seattle, we've got plenty of space for camping.
It looks like a Seat Concepts seat. Was looking at them myself. But think I'm going to stick with the original, and get a gel seat insert off of Amazon. Cheaper option.
@@chrissandy9935 Yep. It's 2cm thick. Was like $34 on Amazon. Just ordered it. I'm gonna give it a try. Plenty of vids on here on how to cut the foam. Been looking at all the aftermarket seats for awhile. Some are really pricey. Was gonna go with the SC seat, but they are saying it's a 10 week production timeline. I'll give the gel a try for now.
