I love my built b series . It seems to really like Nitrous express all controlled by a Haltec ecu and Mad scientist auto behind the key board. It’s sleeved cams springs retainers rods etc. It does pretty good for a NA car and I can still drive it to work
thanks for the info, im a total noob and have a 96 integra with a b18b in it. After adding intake, header and exhaust im really noticing how much i need to tune soon. Probably a vtec head thrown on in the near future. This is great info for the dumb guy way behind on these engines.
B18c1 I put a p73 type r intake manifold on a p72 head alot of research S80 lsd type r gearbox Has a neptune ecu with 2step Has arp head studs Pcv deleted with crank case an rocka cover breather set up Goes good revs 9k rpm all day To many rules in New Zealand to get it certified if i decide to go turbo Its a fun db8 an reliable an cheap on gas
B20B long intake 97 AWD crv. Have a nice header from PLM 2.5" collector, stock but new cat, 2.5" cat back. Exhaust gets the most results on B series. I've also had 95 GS-R 1.8 VTEC had a lot of bolt ons but the VTEC engines need the 4-1 really wakes up the top end.
Jdm b18c Skunk2 tuner 1 cams Skunk2 intake manifold and 70mm throttle body Type R p73 pistons Dual valve springs added to exhaust side Type R single accessory crank pulley Lightened flywheel (9lbs) 6 pick clutch With cams matching a larger throttle body team up well
@@torquecars slightly larger then the ITR cams and the only legal cam upgrade for California. Haven’t heard this baby purr yet it’s still on the engine stand. Need to paint the valve cover and adjust the valve cover then it’s drop in ready
I'm sorry but you said these B-Series engines were in Type R models. I would like to add they were also in VTI & VTI-S models. Otherwise a fantastic informative video & enjoyable to watch. Thank you. #classicvehiclesdevon
I have a D 17 A and it’s terrible. I’m trying to do a swap. I can’t decide what engine to go with. Thank you for all the information and lotta information in this one video.
Glad to help and thanks for your encouragement, I wish you all the best in your project, there are some very interesting projects around with Honda engine swaps in them.
K20z3 is a good option for you. I’ve seen an 01’ with an H22 blue top before which is interesting…but wouldn’t recommend since the K is stronger and there’s more available parts to swap into an EM2/ES1 chassis.
I got a obd1 chipped b18c7 with k and n aem intake high flow cat and 4-1 headers making 170 whp Really wanna stick to all motor, might get 68-70mm throttle body and an intake manifold
Iv a b18c4 engine in my mb6 vtis. Iv got the skunk 2 cams, skunk2 inlet, whale intake, tegiwa 4.2.1 header, toyosports exhaust 2.5 , decat. I changed the box the a s80 4.4 fd, iv the p73ecu. Is their anything eles you'd suggest. I want to make it really nice without turbo. Or would it be cheaper getting the b18c engine. Any kore mods and advice would be really appreciated
So i just recently bought a 1990 Integra GS. Its fully stock. From what I understand , there’s no real easy mod to add power as any setup requires a very extensive list of supporting mods. I bought it hoping id be able to add a few mods for 160-180 whp. I now know it’s not that easy
Get the fuel tank as low as you can and go fill it with brand name premium. NOT grocery store gas. Unhook the battery and reconnect so computer recalibrates. After 2nd tank you'll feel 15 more hp.
B16a with a supercharger tuned at 245hp rebuilding it currently and looking to go around 300 horsepower if I get a smaller pulley and some cams do you think I could be making close to that. Looking to bore out the pistons and chuck in larger forged pistons a lot of upgrades I haven’t stated trans has also been rebuilt snd strengthened so should be able to hold the power I’m planning on making is a street car also!
Awesome spec, how do you find traction with that at the moment and thanks for the support my friend. It is impossible to estimate power as there are too many variables here, I would suspect you need to focus on fuel mods as well. Improving the head is a key on these higher power B series builds.
I like your thinking, I often used to modify cars till they break then fix the broken things with higher performance parts. It's expensive but a great way to learn and I suppose spreads out the cost.
Thanks for the heads up, I totally misread the script here! Sorry about that. I'll be reshooting this one in the not too distant future, there are a few things I've found out I need to update/share with others.
lol I was hoping no one would spot that but it is kinda obvious, well done being the first to point that out my friend. I don't really have any B series engine footage despite trawling a few local meets and car shows to shoot some. If anyone has some footage of their engine I can use in a future video please contact me via my webmaster(at)Torquecars.com email address and we can sort out a download via wetransfer.
@@torquecars I honestly love the accent it makes the listening experience unique it'd be boring if everyone sounded the same love the channel I'm a new Subscriber 😀
