in this video i rebuild a carburettor for a 1987 honda ballade 1500 16v with the SH4 motor, it was my grandfathers car and had been sitting a while so the carb gummed up inside as to wich i rebuilt it.
Fantastic video meneer. Little to no info about rebuilding these 150 Keihin carbs online. Midas quoted me less than 300 bucks for a rebuild kit a couple of years ago. Not sure if it included all the components. I'm keen to tackle this job soon.

@@curtley1992 i have started on a video about it, unfortunately i have a problem on it as the car is just standing, it was my grandfathers car and doesnt get used often, the starter desided it doesn't want to work any more, probably grandfathers old fix that came appart now
Nice video, there's no info about these carbs anywhere. And where on earth did you find the rebuild kit? I'm in South Africa as well and I can't find anything anywhere.
I have no idea where you can find it, you can try a place like auto zone there, i have seen on other peoples chanels they are quite resorcefull when needing to find parts

Hello, thank you for watching, i am sorry but i do not know of any web sites that stock this, i am not good at internet things yet, still do almost everything the hard way around without internet hehe, over here it is stil easyer to drive from parts place to parts place to find parts than what it is to do internet searches
I will see if i can find that for you, it runs on engine vacuum through the carburetor as far as i understand,maybe see if yours isnt stuck or tight to turn and if the linkage is opperating free, but i will see if i can find it for you
@@michaelshort2200 do you by any chance know why when driving it won't go over like 3.5k rpm? Gets there and shifts. Can't figure out how to get it to ride out the full Rev range.
@@michaelshort2200 na it's not that. It's the carb. First it was revving all the way. No issues. But during cold starts, choke went up to 4k. So someone helped me set it down to about 2k. But then idling was too low when driving. And when driving, 4k rpm and it would shift when giving it beans instead of 6.5k. I played with it and now it's down to 3.5k before it shifts.
Check in the side of the carburetor there should be a number on it, mine is a 37F, maybe you can search for the part and order it online to be delivered, the number is usualy on the mounting frame for the chocke vacume canister
