Part 1 of 2 in completing a full brake job on a Honda CBR600F4i, using an EBC X-Series floating MC rotors and HH sintered pads. Complete brake torque specs included. Music by Gramatik
Forgive the nit-picking: torque in metric is Newton-meters (N m) use of the lower case n gives nanometers (nm) a unit of length. Other than that, I enjoyed the video.
hey man great video. this will absolutely help me out with my warped rotors. you forgot to mention one thing. you didnt mention to tell us to push back the brake pistons in after installing new pads. make sure you clean the calipers first and than push the pistons in with the old pads still in them. finally push in with a screwdriver.
Roy Dean i agree, the first bolt i went to torque snapped and ended my day, had to get it removed by a machine shop.. i went to a Honda dealer and ordered all 12 bolts brand new, worked out great.. Part # for the bolts is 90106-MBB-000
I'm currently refurbishing a 2004 Honda CBR600F4i, amongst others,. and am buying new bolts on eBay. I have no plans to torque anything unless I'm inside the engine.
