Very grateful for this vid and the way you did it. Easy to watch because you are articulate, concise & to the point…not jumping all over the place (like other vids). Thanks!🙏🏽
Just want to take time to say you were born to be a teacher the way you take time to break the problem down to allow the solution to immerse from nothing to something is a gift all in it self ..You didn't say to much or to little was able to follow all your directions without being misunderstood or lost in your words i have the same bike and hasn't started in a while cant wait to watching your video again and do everything you did to bring her back to life ... Thank you for you wisdom and knowledge and also your ability to take time to teach those that were lost but now are found all on behalf of your light..Continue to shine your light in this Dark world we live in and inspire hope in hopeless situations..Have a Blessed Day..God Bess..
Do more bike rebuilds with the same exact way you did with this video, your explanation is damn on point and you deserve more subs and likes, forget about cars you do better with bikes, i won't miss a single video of yours if it's all about bikes
I just watched this again and literally got chills when you finally got it started! I have a 04 600rr. I gave up over a year ago (about when I watched this 😭) when I couldn’t get it going. Now after watching I’m inspired to try again. Yep… it’s been just sitting.
Great video! Nice logical troubleshooting. I actually just bought a 2000 cbr929rr on the cheap also. Suscribed, can't wait to see how this project progresses.
Awesome video man I been troubleshooting my 05 for over a week and theres so many useless videos out there but you’re straight to the facts and 100% on your instructions on how to and it turns out I had a bad tilt sensor so thanks alot buddy I’m back in action 👌🏼
Great video ❤ i enjoy watching it. Nice to see how you go step by step to find the problem 👌 2day i was looking for a 954 to buy and what is stoping me is the red light. I didnt know what it men. Bike run good but on start up it loose some power... guy selling it told me its the battery but am not convinced its just the battery cz it didnt start right over when we put cabkes and start it from another one.... thanks for the video again a learn a lot
Having similar problems with a 9/1999 CB600 F Ultimate Light. No fuel but motor cranks. It was tired 4 years ago without an issue but refuses to start today. Bike was 100% tip top and it is super frustrating. I'll check the internal fuel filter that is similarly connected to the fuel tap and see how I go. Thanks for the tip mate....
Engine informant, I got to the part where you are checking the FI connection. Followed your steps from the video and my reading were showing 1.04 Vdc after turning the key. Bike primed and went back down to 0.01Vdc. I then put my lead to the battery + and negative to the connector. Reading were good. Not sure what to do next???
Some bikes in order to start them the kickstand needs to be up and the brake engaged and in neutral as well sometimes the clutch needs to be in also depending on what brand it is
i have a 2002 honda cbr 929rr im still trying figure how some of the wires go and get it started but i ant getting no spark off the bike any help will help me out please and thanks
I have the same problem on my cbr600rr 05 I replaced a couple new things thinking that the problem with do away but it hasn't. At first I couldn't get the fuel pump to prime and now it feels like the fuel doesn't want to go through the lines very similar like it happened to you. I am about to change the spark plugs to see if it helps since it's been over 20k miles that it haven't been replaced. I am gonna check the fuel lines to see if it's sprays gas out since now it's priming and then will try to crank it up. Should I crank and press and hold the button till the battery dies? Or that can cause other problems. Thank you
Nice my blade just won’t start! Batt died for some reason re charged it and removed some cables that were attached to battery but nothing else, went to fire it up but just wouldn’t fire up. Gona try a few of these tests tomorrow
no more codes. Some mid rpms breakups awhile later but that was solved with new spark plugs (which technically are advised to be changed ever 12 months 😒)
What if you check all of that and it's still not firing up could it be the ECM. How will you know if the ECM is bad preventing ignition feel and or compression
There are ways to test the pickup coil and stator to see if its outputting power as well as coil packs. Ecms can fail but more often its a wiring harness issue
@@EngineInformant Got it. Yeah I’m experiencing the same issue. In my experience most of the problems I have with the bike the bike won’t crank the starter will be dead. Even in the forums the symptoms aren’t described. This time it’s cranking and not lighting exactly like you had here so I’m thinking it’s the fuel pump. It even started after I filled up on gas. My old man was concerned about back fire by spraying the throttle bodies but seems like a good test to me if I can ever get the air box open.
Hi, I have an 01 929. Head gasket blew so i fixed it, but when I put it back together it won't start. Primes fine, battery good. It will crank but does not have spark, ven with new plugs. Any ideas?
@@jonathanpangborn3100 timing has nothing to due with loss of spark. If you have NO spark its most likely electronic. either follow how i checked for FI codes or you have done something to the stator while head gasket was done.
Its the genuine honda fuel return filter, came in all of the fuel injected bikes around that era and can see it on their parts diagram. Everyone thats taken one apart on youtube thinks they're dish cleaners put in by previous owners but they are infact genuine honda parts lol.
Just one point when U battery and put the acid that came with it in it is fully charged, in case U didn't know the way to never have a flat battery is to have 4liters of battery acid in your vehicle, if battery goes flat remove battery tip out liquid in battery and fill with acid, instant fully charged battery, simple, a battery works by turning water into acid, IE a flat battery has almost water in it and as it gets charged it turn to acid and vice versa, if U fill a new battery with highly acidic acid it is charged from the moment U add the acid, yes putting on a charger adds a small amount but I'd guess the battery charge would say full,!
I have a 929 with no spark or power to the injectors. It's acting like a BAS trip, but it's bypassed (with good tested connect). The bike ran 2 days ago for a few minutes, then it died, and started again for a few seconds and now there's nothing.
bad ecu or short/split in wiring. You have to test and follow the wire from ecu to rail. If no power at ecu only other thing than a bad ecu i can think of is a faulty kill switch which is fairly common on many models.
Some bikes in order to start them the kickstand needs to be up and the brake engaged and in neutral as well sometimes the clutch needs to be in also depending on what brand it is
